Jennifer Aydin and her husband, Bill Aydin, weighed in on the ongoing rumors plaguing their marriage while attending a Jill Zarin-hosted event over the weekend in the Hamptons.

As Jennifer, 48, also commented on the current “pause” of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she and Bill, 52, who will celebrate their 23-year wedding anniversary next month, compared the false reports about their potentially impending divorce to that of former president Barack Obama, 63, and his wife, Michelle Obama, 61.

“[The divorce rumors] didn’t bring us closer together because we’re already close,” Jennifer, 48, told Us Weekly on July 26. “We are both committed to the commitment. We are very old school and traditional in our values. It works for us. We both believe in this.”

Although Bill said he tries not to pay attention to what people are saying online, he suspected that the continuous buzz was a result of how famous he and his wife are.

“I don’t keep up on the social medias, but when I see it, I laugh it off,” he explained. “I guess after the Obamas, ours was the second most publicized one.”

“It’s so silly. It’s so abundantly silly,” Jennifer agreed.

She then signaled how quickly false rumors can spread.

“I don’t know anything about [the Obama’s], but I’m just saying it’s silly, and at the end of the day, it’s a free country, and there’s freedom of speech, and people could print and write whatever they want, and if it gains momentum, all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Oh, I heard they were getting a divorce,’” she revealed. “Ask ChatGPT.”

Also during the interview, as she admitted she’s received no updates in regard to the upcoming 15th season of RHONJ, Jennifer confirmed that she hopes to return.

“Our life is very fulfilled and busy,” she noted. “There are no cameras, but sometimes I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, if there were, this would be TV gold.’ It doesn’t matter if the cameras are there or not. Our life is continuously moving. Let’s just say that.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on pause since the end of its 14th season in August 2024.
