Real Housewives of Potomac veteran Gizelle Bryant recently addressed comments made by fellow co-star Charrisse Jordan Jackson concerning the ongoing drama involving Ashley Darby. Meanwhile, Charrisse has admitted she hasn’t had a conversation with her son about his kiss with an RHOP cast member.

Charrisse recently shared her thoughts with Carlos King, accusing Gizelle and Ashley of concocting storylines for the reality series. According to her, this was part of a broader critique of their actions on the show.
Responding to these claims, Gizelle took to her Reasonably Shady podcast, co-hosted with Robyn Dixon. She said, “What matters to me is that Charrisse, Ashley, and I discussed the situation on camera. I honestly expected Charrisse to react wildly when Ashley brought it up—maybe flip a table or something dramatic—but none of that happened.”
Gizelle further elaborated, noting that Charrisse seemed unbothered by her son’s interactions with Ashley, acknowledging that he’s an adult capable of making his own decisions. She also mentioned that Charrisse had affectionately referred to Ashley as her “daughter-in-law” for some time, given the playful dynamic between them.

Gizelle not only adds that Charrisse would call Ashley her “daughter in law for years”, but that they also celebrated Charrisse’s birthday after filming wrapped and there was no smoke there either! The RHOP star continued, “None of that happened.” She went on to say that Charrisse seemed accepting of her son hooking up with Ashley, as he’s an adult who “can do what he wants.” Gizelle then noted how Charrisse previously referred to Ashley as “her daughter-in-law.” Gizelle stated that Charrisse has called her this “for years” because they would be “flirty flirty.”
From there, Gizelle said the issue was mentioned again, and Charrisse seemed fine with it. She even thought it was “funny.” She went on, “You can’t then let the fans gas you up to then have a moment. To then have an issue off camera.” The GNA cofounder called the situation “ridiculous.”
She added, “And how I’m catching strays is beyond me. And how Charrisse is rewriting history is beyond me.” This led Gizelle to recall her daughter asking if she’d spoken to Charrisse since the drama started, and she said she hadn’t. The last time they spoke was at Charrisse’s birthday dinner, when she, Ashley, and Nneka Ihim went out. This was after filming for season 10 had wrapped.
She said, “We celebrated Charrisse. Charrisse had no smoke. She had no fire. We ate dinner, we left there, went to the club, took her to the club because she wanted to go dancing. No smoke, no fire, Charrisse had a grand ole time.”
Gizelle continued, “So, I just don’t know how then Gizelle, and Ashley, but I’ll just speak for myself, are horrible people, bad friends, make up lies, wanted to push her out of Potomac, all these things that are simply not true. So, now that I know, Charrisse, how you really feel, I will govern myself accordingly.”
In other RHOP news, Charrisse has provided an update on her son amid the situation with Ashley. She was in an interview when the host asked how Jackson Jordan felt about this having become a storyline.
She said, “I have not asked Jackson. I have not. I just think it’s his personal business. I think that you have to respect people’s personal boundaries, and again, Ashley crossed a boundary because he didn’t want anybody to know.”
Charrisse went on, “I think it’s unfair for you and I to have a relationship and you decide to go on a national platform and talk about it without my consent. If it happened, I still want to be in denial about it.”
She then said, “I haven’t asked him. At this point, it’s kind of like I don’t want to know the truth. I just don’t want to believe that I have a friend who I love… I don’t want to believe that actually happened. I’d rather not know.”
In the end, she said Ashley should have “went to her grave with it[the secret]” if it did, in fact, happen instead of risking friendships. Charrisse also questioned Ashley’s logic in sharing the story.
