Meredith Marks is considering legal action against Whitney Rose after a resurfaced video reignited claims about Meredith’s alleged airplane confrontation with Britani Bateman during a drag brunch in February.
The dispute escalated after Lisa Barlow, 51, and Britani, 55, responded to Whitney’s claim that lawsuits were preventing the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast from discussing the alleged season six incident. Meredith, 54, accused Whitney, 40, of making “slanderous” statements.
At the event months earlier, Whitney alleged, “I was on the airplane. Meredith is f*cking lying. Lisa Barlow is lying. The only reason you don’t know the truth is cuz there are lawsuits from people that are way bigger [than] me.” She continued, “I can lose my job over this. The people who protect those b*tches from lying … Meredith accosted Britani on the airplane.”
After the clip was shared again, both Lisa and Meredith pushed back, describing Whitney’s accusations as “slander.”
“Yes it was a full flight. A lot of people were on the plane but somehow there is no footage from anyone, no repercussions legally or from the airlines. This is slander,” Meredith wrote. “Should I file a defamation suit against her? I didn’t think anyone was dumb enough to believe her but maybe I am wrong and need to take legal action.”
Meredith also took a swipe at Whitney’s finances while questioning whether pursuing a lawsuit would be worthwhile.
“Well, perhaps not. You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip,” she added.

Britani joined the conversation as well, commenting, “Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence.”
Fans of RHOSLC may remember the rumors surrounding a possible secret recording of Meredith and Britani’s alleged airplane encounter. When Whitney was pressed about the recording at the drag brunch, however, she said she could not discuss it.
“I’m going to be very clear. I can’t answer, and I cannot answer because it’s a legal issue,” Whitney explained. “Let’s just say this: If five women saw the same thing, say the same thing … I’m about to get fired.”
Britani previously told StyleCaster that she had been in the “fetal position, probably sucking [her] thumb” while Meredith allegedly berated her.
“There was wine … My side was drenched in wine through the seats,” Britani claimed. She said she was wearing over-ear headphones and positioned herself away from the back of the seat so she would not feel what was happening. Britani added that she tried to focus on Crazy Rich Asians and give no reaction, pretending the confrontation was not happening.
“I just didn’t want to give them the satisfaction of seeing me break. I held out until the very end, and then I started to break. I started to crumble,” she recalled.
