Richard Gere, at the age of 76, was recently seen sharing the screen in closer quarters with his youthful co-star Diana Silvers, 28, as they work on their latest romantic drama, “Asymmetry.”

Captured through the lens of a bustling New York City park on Thursday, the duo appeared deeply engaged in a riveting conversation for a scene in the upcoming film.

As they settled comfortably on a bench, Gere was seen with his arm resting behind Silvers. Embracing a relaxed yet stylish look, the “Space Force” star donned black loafers paired with a breezy, cream-hued dress adorned in a subtle leaf pattern.

Sporting his signature silver locks, the iconic “Pretty Woman” actor embodied his character’s laid-back vibe with a casual button-up shirt and jeans.

This sighting is just the latest set of visuals to surface from the production of the highly-anticipated film.

On Monday, the co-stars were photographed canoodling as their characters while recording another scene.

The pair were seen holding hands while walking through the NYC streets. At one point, Gere even wrapped his arm around Silvers’ waist, pulling her in close as she draped her arm across his shoulders.

The film is based on Lisa Halliday’s 2018 critically acclaimed novel of the same name.

The book is split into three parts — the first section, “Folly,” tells the story of Alice, who is described as “a young American editor,” and follows “her relationship with the famous and much older writer Ezra Blazer,” reads the book synopsis.

“A tender and exquisite account of an unexpected romance that takes place in New York during the early years of the Iraq War, Folly also suggests an aspiring novelist’s coming-of-age,” the description adds.

The second part of the book, titled “Madness,” is told from the perspective of Amar — an Iraqi-American man who is detained by immigration officers a holding room at London’s Heathrow Airport.

The film, however, appears to focus solely on Alice and Ezra’s fictional love story, as its logline notes that it “tells the story of a young editorial assistant in New York, Alice (Silvers), who comes upon world-renowned 70-year-old author Ezra (Gere) in Central Park one day.”

The synopsis continues: “Their one moment of eye contact sparks a connection that leads them both down a life-changing rabbit hole, where they create a private world just for two.”

“Ezra, famous for his audacious work, finds someone with whom he can be openly vulnerable, and Alice finds the courage to explore her own aspirations as a writer,” it concludes. “Until it is all put at risk when their secret relationship is exposed.”

Oscar winner Edward Zwick worked on the screenplay with Halliday and Marshall Herskovitz on the screenplay, reports Deadline. Zwick is also attached to direct and produce.

“It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Ed and Marshall on transposing Alice and Ezra’s story for the screen. I am enormously grateful to them for their humor, ingenuity, courage, compassion and dedication,” Halliday, author and co-writer, said in a statement to the outlet.

Gere is involved in his own age-gap love story in real life with wife Alejandra Silva, 43. The couple began dating in 2014 before tying the knot in 2018. They’ve since relocated to Silva’s home country of Spain.

The couple are parents to sons Alexander and James.

The “American Gigolo” star is also dad to son Homer, 26, with his ex-wife, Carey Lowell. Silva also has a son named Albert from a previous marriage.
