Rob Kardashian has stepped back into the limelight, marking his much-anticipated return to reality television. Fans were excited to catch him on the seventh season of The Kardashians, which wrapped up with a special finale on Christmas Day.
With Rob’s reappearance generating buzz among viewers, many are curious if his presence will continue in upcoming episodes. Fortunately for fans, his sister Khloé has assured that Rob will indeed be featured in Season 8.
This announcement came during the Season 7 finale, as the Kardashian family gathered to celebrate their latest season’s success. Khloé highlighted Rob’s popularity, mentioning how he had become a sensation, with many admirers expressing their excitement over his return.
Rob Wants To Be A Part Of Season 8
The news was revealed when Rob made an appearance in the finale for Season 7, where the family was celebrating another successful season together. Khloé pointed out to Rob that he was a hit with viewers, noting that women were “swooning and freaking out” over him.
While Rob denied that the fans were crushing on him, it did make him admit that he wanted to come back for more:
I would hope to be on Season 8. I definitely want to film on Season 8.
Those who have followed the show from the start will know that, while Rob was part of the original cast, he made a choice to step away from filming in 2016. Season 7 marks the first time he’s appeared on camera in nearly a decade.
Rob Stepped Away From Filming For Personal Reasons
When explaining his long absence from the show, Rob wanted to make it clear that it was purely for personal reasons, not because he had any issues with his family members. In a previous conversation with Khloé on her podcast, he opened up about how things like personal issues and the desire for privacy drove him away from filming:
It just has everything to do with myself. There’s definitely nothing wrong between any of us. And I choose my own happiness and peace [instead of] just filming for somebody who doesn’t do anything for me in my personal life.
Rob was honest about how things like body image could impact how willing he was to appear for the cameras. “I love filming if it’s positive and if it’s natural and I’m feeling good about myself. Then, of course, and I’m comfortable,” he noted.
“I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me. Obviously, I have nothing against it,” he shared. “The reason I don’t is because I’m a homebody and I just choose, like I said, my peace and happiness,” he joked. Luckily, it seems like Rob is in a healthy enough frame of mind that he’s signed on for more onscreen appearances in Season 8.
