With the dance competition now behind him, Robert has promised fans that he’ll return to the small screen soon, albeit in a completely new role. So, what’s next for this dynamic young talent?
In his latest TV venture, Robert will step into the spotlight as a host rather than a contestant. Announcing the news on his Instagram, he revealed he will be leading the upcoming season of Australia’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here as its host.
Robert Will Appear On Australia’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here
Robert’s next reality TV show appearance will actually be in a hosting capacity instead of a contestant capacity. This past week, he shared on his personal Instagram account that he’ll be serving as the host of the upcoming season of Australia’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
In the teaser video that he posted, Robert talked about how this season of the show was going to be unlike any other before its time:
Welcome back to South Africa. We have a brilliant new season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here coming to you, Australia, January 18… It’s going to be the most intense season we’ve ever had. The most challenging, the most emotional. And our celebrities, holy moly, they’re gonna get a run for their money.
Robert acknowledged how young he was to be serving as the show’s host, though he’ll also appear alongside Julia Morris, who has been the show’s host for several years now. However, he did point out that, thanks to his father Steve’s wildlife conservationist show, he’d actually come to be comfortable around the camera from a young age.
“It’s just always been a part of my life, and the nice thing is that I’ve just gotten used to it,” he shared. “I never worry about public speaking, or stressing that there’s a camera around. It’s just another person in the room,” he noted.
Robert’s Already Missing DWTS
Though Robert’s tenure on Dancing With The Stars is over, he has since shared how much he’s missing the experience already. He’s shared multiple photos from his time in the competition, including images with his partner, Witney Carson, as well as with the other contestants.
One of his former castmates, Danielle Fishel, commented, “I miss youuuuu! I’m not sure a day will go by where I won’t think of this experience we shared. ❤️” His dance partner, Witney, shared a similar sentiment:
I miss you so much if you don’t already know from my texts 😭
Given just how adored Robert is by his castmates and fans alike, no doubt he’ll find equal success in this next chapter of his reality TV career.
