Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating Halloween with an irresistibly cute glimpse of a much younger Prince Louis, and the throwback has quickly won over royal fans.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, posted the never-before-seen image to their shared Instagram account on Saturday, offering followers a look at Louis when he was just 1 year old.
The charming photograph shows the now-8-year-old royal exploring a flower-filled garden as he reaches down to lift a pumpkin nearly as large as he was.
Louis was dressed for the autumn weather in a navy raincoat and bright red rain boots.
“Happy Halloween! 🎃,” William and Middleton wrote in the caption, adding that the festive image had been taken by the mother of three herself.
The adorable Halloween photo prompted an enthusiastic response online. One royal admirer described Louis as a “precious little pumpkin,” while another commented, “What a cutie.”
Another follower captured the moment’s charm with the playful remark: “A lil’ punkin’ with a lil’ punkin’.”
The seasonal snapshot is the latest in a series of personal peeks at Prince Louis shared by his parents in recent months.

For his eighth birthday in April, the couple posted a collection of previously unreleased videos showing Louis enjoying a seaside adventure.
The footage featured him playing in the sand, sprinting toward the waves and venturing into the water in a wetsuit.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes for Prince Louis. 8 is great!” William and Middleton wrote alongside the video.
That same day, the Waleses also unveiled a new birthday portrait. In the image, Louis smiled from aboard a boat with his arms folded, wearing a blue quarter-zip sweater.
“Happy birthday, Louis! 8 today! 🎈,” the accompanying caption read.
Louis’ seventh birthday was celebrated with a similarly informal portrait, in which he sat on a rock and flashed a toothless smile while showing off his missing front teeth.
For that photograph, he wore a sweater layered over a button-down shirt with jeans. “Wishing Prince Louis a very Happy 7th Birthday! 🎂,” his parents captioned the post.
William and Middleton, who wed in April 2011, are also parents to Prince George, 13, and Princess Charlotte, 11.
