Residents of Santa Barbara, California, witnessed a delightful surprise as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined the local trick-or-treaters with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, for Halloween 2025.
Captured by Page Six, the royal family was spotted making their way from house to house, embracing the festivities on Friday evening.
Markle, now 44, embraced the Halloween spirit, donning a black shirt and sweatpants, complemented by a whimsical rainbow butterfly cape.
Prince Harry, 41, opted for a laid-back look, dressed in a black polo shirt and jeans as he accompanied his wife.
Further snapshots revealed the young royals eagerly collecting candy, their bags filling with treats as they led the way.
Archie was dressed as an ant for the holiday, while it appears Lilibet stepped out as a green firefly.
Harry carried two bottles of an unknown drink while Markle held a stemless wine cup. The photo agency claimed it’s a local tradition to hand out candy for kids and wine for adults.
Days before the holiday outing, Markle gave her fans a rare insight into some of her family of four’s at-home rituals.
“First thing I do when I wake up in the morning is turn the music on in the house,” she shared Wednesday, during a chat with close friend Courtney Adamo at the Godmothers Bookstore in Montecito, Calif.
“I always travel with a candle,” the Duchess of Sussex explained. “I am so conscious and sensitive to fragrance, and I associate that with home.”
She also announced that she practices the “rose and thorn” ritual to elicit more than a “yes or no” response to a question.
“Our daughter, she’s 4 and she’s a very strong personality and she’s incredible,” Markle gushed about Lilibet. “And now she’s in this moment where I say, ‘What’s your rose and your thorn?’ And she goes, ‘My day was just a blast.’”
Earlier that month, Markle shared several never-before-seen snaps of their daughter as she celebrated International Day of the Girl via Instagram.
“To all the girls — this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility,” the “Suits” alum wrote via Instagram Oct. 11.
“Go get ‘em girl! 🏃♀️ Happy International Day of the Girl,” she added.
