In a delightful twist of events, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes recently showcased their enduring romance on television, marking their first public appearance together in over a decade.
The couple made an unexpected joint cameo on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” this past Thursday night. The appearance was a spontaneous moment for Mendes, 52, who was not initially slated to join Gosling, 45, during his interview. Instead, the actor had orchestrated a special surprise in honor of Mendes’ birthday.
During the show, the “Hail Mary” star charmed the audience by encouraging them to serenade Mendes with a birthday song. As the actress and businesswoman was guided onstage by a staff member to join her “sweetheart,” Gosling humorously remarked, “Here’s the thing, you might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow.”

As the businesswoman was brought onstage by a staff member to her “sweetheart,” Gosling quipped, “Here’s the thing, you might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow.”
Mendes, who stunned in Gosling’s striped cardigan, wide-legged jeans and John Lennon and Yoko Ono shirt, asked whether her segment would be “cut, right?”
“No!” Fallon, 51, insisted. “It’s your birthday.”
He noted that the surprise — a marching band performance of “Happy Birthday,” complete with confetti — was “all [Gosling].”
Mendes planted multiple kisses on the actor’s cheek, and they sweetly held hands as Fallon closed the show.
The notoriously private pair last stepped out together at SXSW in 2015.
Prior to that, they walked the red carpet for the movie that set their love story in motion, “The Place Beyond the Pines,” in 2013.
The co-stars, who met on the set of the drama, have been an item ever since.
The duo share two daughters — Esmeralda, 11, and Amada, 9.
This is a developing story…
