Sacha Baron Cohen got honest about his body transformation.

Cohen, 53, took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 23, to open up about his weight loss ahead of playing Mephisto in a Marvel movie. “This is not AI. I really am egotistical enough to do this,” he wrote. “Some celebs use Ozempic, some use private chefs, some use personal trainers. I did all three.” The Borat actor joked that he was “hard launching [his] mid-life crisis” and debuting a “new character,” a “middle aged man who replaced beer with protein shakes.”

He also gave a shout-out to his trainer, Alfonso Moretti, praising him for “doing the unthinkable” and “putting up with [him] for 25 mins a day.”

Moretti also shared photos of Cohen’s new figure via Instagram, gushing about how “proud” he was of his client.

“Sacha trusted my process and followed the plan exactly,” he captioned the pic of Cohen flexing his abs. “Not only did he earn better health and fitness with incredible aesthetics … but also … The COVER of Men’s Fitness!!!” The duo teased how Cohen achieved his fitness goals will be revealed in the magazine’s cover story, which drops on Friday, July 25.

Fans shared their thoughts on Cohen’s body transformation in the comments section.
“He looks INCREDIBLE!” one wrote, as a second commented, “Wow! What a transformation!! 🙌🙌.” A third social media user added, “🙌🙌 great work!”

Cohen previously lost weight for a role in 2019, ahead of filming a miniseries, The Spy. At the time, his ex-wife, Isla Fisher, complimented Cohen on his hard work via Instagram.

“He worked so hard transforming for his role in The Spy– not just getting rid of his dad-bod (see video) but learning three dialects, including Syrian and living in Casablanca, mainly in character for 4 months while shooting,” she captioned a clip of the Talladega Nights actor lifting weights.
