Given Britney Spears’ long and abusive experience in her thirteen-year-long conservatorship, fans are understandably protective of the star and were weary of the real intentions of Spears’ now husband Sam Asghari before he married her in June 2022. The couple had been dating officially since January 2017 before Sam proposed to Spears in September 2021 — together five whole years before marrying, and yet Sam’s motives are still questioned to this day.
Supporters of Britney were fearful that Sam was using Spears for fame and fortune and taking advantage of her vulnerability for personal gain, especially given Asghari’s interest in becoming an actor. Yet most people are unaware that Sam Asghari was successful, in his own right, prior to his courtship with Britney Spears and didn’t exactly need her support to make a living for himself.
How Rich Is Sam Asghari?
Sam has had an established and diverse professional life, even before his relationship with Spears, creating quite the fortune for himself through his work in a variety of avenues.
With a passion for sports and a history of playing football, naturally, Sam gravitated towards a career in health and wellbeing, despite starting his studies in Criminal Justice. He eventually worked towards starting up his own personal training business, Asghari Fitness.
Sam shares his workout routines and meal plans on his Instagram, @asgharifitness, and is often seen in more lighthearted posts working out alongside Spears on their personal accounts.
Asghari Fitness also offers a subscription service to the training program for $9 per week, including a far more intimate and detailed level of support.
Not only this but Sam has also dipped his toe into the world of modeling and acting, walking his first runway show for LA brand ‘Stello’ in 2015 where he confidently tore the garment from his chest at the end of the runway, certainly making an impression for his debut show.
Following his newfound confidence in modeling, Sam followed up his runway debut in February 2016 by starring in Fifth Harmony’s music video for their song ‘Work From Home featuring Ty Dolla $ign’.
This was a particularly important venture for Asghari, as it gave him both the exposure and the experience to land him what was arguably the biggest career, and personal, move of his life as he went on to star in Britney Spears’ music video for the song ‘Slumber Party, featuring Tinashe’ from her album Glory, in November 2016.
The video shows Spears and Tinashe getting up close and personal at a carnival-themed party before Spears eventually pursues the mysterious host, who had his eye on her from the beginning of the music video, crawling towards the suited man across his dining room table.
The man in question, of course, was quite ironically none other than Sam Asghari himself, who, technically speaking, met his future wife whilst at work.

Asghari’s on-screen relationship with Britney Spears developed into something much more real after filming, however, as he shared with Men’s Health that he and Spears hit it off instantly and went for a sushi date not long after filming.
With all of this considered, it has been reported that Asghari’s net worth was at one million dollars around the time of meeting Britney, yet this has since risen quite substantially given the publicity of his relationship with the superstar.

As of 2023, however, Sam’s net worth has reportedly grown to five million dollars as many career-related opportunities have opened themselves up to him, having been in the press alongside Britney so much in the past few years.
Sam’s fitness company has grown exponentially, as well as his social media following – now with 3 million Instagram followers on his main account and 26.9 thousand on his business account.
Since dating Britney, Asghari has also starred in several films and TV Shows, with recurring roles in PBC and Showtime’s Black Monday, alongside A-List actors like Don Cheadle.
Upon the couple’s engagement, conversations very quickly turned to whether or not Britney and Sam would sign a prenup as a means of protecting Britney’s sixty-seventy million dollar net worth, should the couple ever split.
Asghari put fans of Britney’s concerns to rest, however, joking on an Instagram story that the couple had signed an ‘iron clad prenup to protect my Jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day.’
There were talks prior, however, that the prenuptial settlement was taking particularly long, based on a source claiming to US Weekly that Asghari wanted increases in the agreement for every five years that they stayed together.

Amid several cheating allegations and the aforementioned rumors surrounding his personal demands during the signing of their prenup, it appears that below the surface, Sam’s love for Britney potentially may or may not be as genuine as he had led the public to believe.
Asghari has always been successful, in his own right, and has consistently been a defender of Spears, reported to have been an excellent support system for the star during legal struggles, but the court of public opinion appears to remain divided on his honest intentions and whether he is to be trusted.
The fallout of Britney’s trial still remains a very hot topic, however, with many fans and conspiracists still theorizing online about just how ‘free’ Britney truly is.
The reality of the couple’s situation will likely not show until the buzz around Britney’s trial has finally blown over, but until then all fans can do is take Asghari at his word and hope that Britney is recovering as best she can with the support of her husband.
