Sandra Bullock Credited Jay Leno For Always Supporting Her, Even When She Made Bad Films
Sandra Bullock is completely transparent when it comes to the successes and failures of her film career. Although she made a fortune nonetheless, Bullock wasn’t fond when it came to some of the films she agreed to. Among them, included Speed 2, which still haunts the actress today.
“I have one that no one came around to, and I’m still embarrassed that I was in, it’s called Speed 2, and I’m very vocal about it. Makes no sense: slow boat, slowly going towards an island. That’s one that I wished I hadn’t done, and no fans came around that I know of, except for you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.”
As it turns out, her co-star Keanu Reeves realized the film wasn’t going to be a hit when he received the script and despite a massive offer of $12 million for the sequel, Keanu decided to turn it down. Despite the anger of the studio, the actor clearly made the right choice, while Bullock wasn’t as lucky ultimately.
Despite the forgettable films, never once did Jay Leno judge Bullock for it. When speaking alongside one another in their final interview, both sides got emotional.

Bullock continues, “Even when the film was horrible and you knew it, you never let me see it in your eyes. When I made crazy life decisions you never questioned [them]. You were always so welcoming and every single person on your crew was that way consistently and I just felt special even when I felt very insecure. And everyone, I think, in this room and in this country, has felt that every day that you’ve been in their homes. I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of this.”

At the age of 58, Sandra Bullock is in a different place when it comes to her career. Nowadays, Bullock is focused on putting family before anything else, and that includes her career.
“I want to be at home,” Bullock replies. “So I’m not doing anyone any favors who’s investing in a project if I’m saying, ‘I just want to be at home.’ Because I was always running, I was always running to the next thing. I just want to be present and responsible for one thing.”
Bullock tells EW that her happiness comes first nowadays, and when it comes to acting, the job is 24/7, unlike other jobs out there.

As far as future projects are concerned, it seems like Bullock kept her promise, as the actress has no upcoming credits since her last role in The Lost City.
