Earlier this year, TLC revealed plans for a new docuseries titled The Cult of the Real Housewife. This series will explore the life of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby and the controversies linked to her church, Faith Temple Pentecostal. Mary made headlines in 1998 when she wed her late grandmother’s husband, Robert C. Cosby, who serves as a bishop at the church.
In the forthcoming documentary, Mary’s cousin, Dan Cosby, asserts that a former church member named Cameron Williams disclosed to him over the phone that he engaged in an affair with Mary.
According to PEOPLE, Cameron Williams passed away from complications following brain tumor surgery shortly after his appearance on the show in 2021.
Per PEOPLE, Cameron passed away due to complications after a brain tumor surgery, soon after he appeared on the show in 2021.
According to Dan in the documentary, Cameron shared that he went to Mary’s home, and she asked that he put on music. After sitting down together, Mary allegedly grabbed Cameron’s hand and began “rubbing her.”
“According to Cameron, he put his hand in her vagina,” said Dan. “I said, ‘What?’” Dan then claimed that Cameron alleged they “had sex.”
In a documentary clip of what seemed to be Cameron and Dan’s phone call, Cameron allegedly said, “We had the affair and all that, but like, that was me being victimized. It had to take therapy for me to get out of that. … [At first, the affair made me feel like] God really is blessing me.”
“Look, we were on private jets, going on trips, she was buying me $2,500 shoes,” Cameron allegedly said. “Of course, in my head I’m like, ‘Wow’…I truly was manipulated in so many ways. I’m embarrassed of myself at this point.”
Dan claimed that Cameron said he “fear[ed] for his life,” and that if anything happened to him, he “wanted his story out.”
“My goal is to protect my family,” Cameron allegedly shared during the recorded phone call. “I be trying to make sure I don’t go down on her ship. That’s why I was calling, cause I’m like okay, that’s something I won’t allow because I don’t want to be associated with Mary no more.”
According to Dan, Cameron (who’s apparently Lisa Barlow’s friend) said he helped orchestrate the casting of Mary on RHOSLC to “expose her.”
Ex-church member Ernest Enoch also claimed that Cameron told him “me and Mary had an affair.” Enoch’s brother Michael Enoch alleged that Cameron suddenly stopped attending the church. When Michael asked why, Cameron allegedly answered, “If I told you, you wouldn’t believe me, or you would get upset.”
Michael said Mary has stated that Cameron passed away “because he lied on her.”
