Selena Gomez’s mother-in-law, Sandra Levin, experienced a terrifying ordeal when masked intruders broke into her Los Angeles residence on Monday night.

Levin, mother to Benny Blanco, swiftly reacted by seeking refuge in a bathroom. The burglars, clad in dark attire, had entered her Studio City property via a side entrance around 9:30 p.m., according to NBC4.

The Los Angeles Police Department shared with the outlet that Levin cautiously peered out from the bathroom after hearing the intruders make their way upstairs.

Upon realizing Levin was present, the burglars became startled and uneasy.

According to Page Six, the alarm system was triggered, prompting the suspects to flee before law enforcement could arrive at the scene.

It’s unclear if the suspects were armed.

Footage obtained by KTLA5 showed officers opening the shattered sliding door the burglars entered, with glass remains falling to the ground.

Reps for Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Sandra was previously married to the music producer’s father, Andrew Levine. The exes are also parents to son Jeremy.

During an interview with InStyle in June, Blanco shared how his mom gave him relationship advice while navigating the dating scene.

“My mom always took the time to explain how a female mind works because she was going through so many dating traumas when I was growing up,” he explained.

The music producer also stated that Sandra’s passion for art and music fueled his own creativity and happiness.

“I’ve had some tough times, but I’ve always been like a very happy person. I just wake up stoked every day,” Blanco said.

The businessman has previously gushed over his close relationship with Levin, telling People in November 2024, “My mom’s my best friend.”

“Every Sunday we go to the farmer’s market. I cook her lunch, we swim, we gossip about stuff,” he said.

“She sends me things and is like, ‘Do you think it’s true?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t even know who these two people are we’re talking about.’”

Blanco also shared how Levin “loves flowers” and every year on Mother’s Day, he buys her a new orchid, explaining that the matriarch takes good care of them and once had a room with 25 of them because “they would never die.”
