Shannon Beador recently shared some insights into her relationship with Tamra Judge while attending the premiere of the Real Housewives of Orange County season 20 earlier this week.

At the event, Shannon not only discussed their evolving relationship but also addressed whether the famed Tres Amigas have reconciled. She shared her thoughts on new cast member Carmella Garcia, 44, and expressed her excitement about the much-anticipated return of Vicki Gunvalson, 64. Shannon even suggested a possible tagline for the season.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Shannon, who is 62, emphasized how her interactions with Tamra, 58, have transformed. “It’s an evolution this season, but we’re at a point where it’s not a yelling and screaming match, which was a shocker to me,” she remarked. “There’s good pluses and minuses. It’s an evolution this season, for sure.”

That said, Shannon is still keeping Tamra at a healthy distance.

“The thing is, and sometimes I would get a little bit frustrated, is the push that I was getting to kind of rekindle this historic friendship that I had with Tamra. I can go to a certain point, but for me, I needed to create this boundary, and it’s kind of mocked sometimes and all that, but it is what it is,” she stated.

Then speaking to Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Shannon revealed that the Tres Amigas is not back together.

“No. I mean, we’re, we’re okay,” she clarified. “You’ll watch as the season evolves, and there’s definitely — I’m in a much better place than I was last year. But for me right now, I just need to keep it at that place and, you know, I’m not being mean. I just know what’s best for me.”

According to Shannon, Tamra’s past behavior was the deciding factor for their future.

“I had to sit and analyze the history, and there were certain patterns that continued to repeat. And at some point, if you keep going back, the same thing is gonna happen, and you can only blame yourself,” she reasoned. “So I took a hard look at certain things, and for my happiness, I’ve never been in a happier place, so I want to keep things the way they are.”

During a third interview with Zachary Reality at the event, Shannon said that she was looking forward to the silliness of season 20.

“I get to do a lot of silly things, and I get to laugh, and it’s been a lot of fun,” she shared.

As for the new housewife, Shannon confirmed she liked her from the start.

“I was kind of a not-liking-new-girls person myself. I really like her, and we have a lot of things in common. Enjoyed her from day one,” she gushed.

Looking back at the fight she and Tamra were involved in amid Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, which reportedly led to them being banned from the finale, Shannon said that although it wasn’t their biggest fight, “the ramifications were.”

“It was upsetting to me,” she admitted.

Then, after stating that Vicki’s return was “so much fun,” Shannon teased her season 20 tagline.

“One has to do with the water, and one has to do with sucking it in,” she revealed.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 20 premieres on Thursday, July 9, at 8/7c on Bravo.
