RHOC's Shannon Beador on "Ups and Downs" in "Toxic" Relationship With Tamra, Eddie Diss and Katie's Deflections About Recording, Plus Gretchen vs Tamra, & If Daughters Will Join Next Gen NYC

Shannon Beador spoke of her up-and-down relationship with Tamra Judge during an interview at the end of last month.

Following the falling out of the Tres Amigas nearly two years ago, the 61-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star looked back on her shady comment about Eddie Judge‘s “small d*ck energy” on Watch What Happens Live, revealed if she still thinks Katie Ginella, 41, is “worse” than Tamra, 57, and Alexis Bellino, 58, and addressed her daughters’ potential roles on Next Gen NYC.

“It was important for me that [Tamra and I] got to a place where we could be OK together, because there was so much tension that all the girls felt last season, with both Tamra and Alexis and I. I didn’t want to be the cause of that anymore,” Shannon explained during a recent interview with Decider. “We get to a point … [But] we have our ebbs and flows, ups and downs.”

After admitting that their mutual issues with Katie “absolutely” brought them closer, Shannon clapped back at Tamra’s suggestion that she throws away friendships.

“That’s what Tamra does. She takes things to such exaggeration,” she stated. “What I’m doing and what I want to continue to do and will continue to do and work on is taking that healthier path.”

“I need to create healthy boundaries for myself. We had a toxic friendship. So, we can be in a room, we can laugh together, even. But I’m not willing to go right back into a friendship, because if you look back on it, we had a lot of ups and downs, and I don’t want to go there right now,” she continued.

As for why she chose Eddie, 52, when asked which RHOC husband gave off the most “small d*ck energy,” Shannon reflected on Eddie’s claim that she was “not a friend.”

“He hasn’t said a lot of kind things about me in the last few years … So, of course, I chose Eddie, because he said some negative things about me. Oh, the wrath that I received for that,” she revealed.

Moving on to her comment about Katie being worse than both Alexis and Tamra, Shannon confessed that the statement may have been “a little reactionary.”

“You might hear me say they’re equals in the future,” she explained.

According to Shannon, she was “really [shocked]” to learn that Katie recorded her, not only due to the violation she felt, but due to the timing as well.

“[It] was right when we got back from London last year. Last season, I left London early. I was spent. I was really in a dark place after London, because it had been a lot, emotionally, to go through. She knew that. For her to, literally, two days after we got back from London, pull out a phone to record me and then play it for Alexis when I’m in a lawsuit? None of it adds up to me,” Shannon noted. “Recording someone has only negative intent. There was no good intention behind her doing that towards me.”

“Katie is trying to deflect off of the fact that she did something that, again, isn’t lawful in all states. And then she says, ‘Oh, Shannon was throwing a fit like usual,’” she added.

While Gretchen Rossi, 46, faced tons of drama with Tamra after returning to the series, Shannon said she felt she was “great on the show” as she addressed their feud.

“I can’t speak for Tamra, but I will say that it’s clear, after that hot pot lunch, that there is deep-seeded pain and hurt in both of them that’s been sitting there for years,” she shared.

Regarding whether her two daughters, Sophie Beador, 24, and Adeline Beador, 21, who are currently living in New York City, could join a future season of Next Gen NYC, Shannon said the idea has been mentioned by fans.

“People have been messaging Sophie about that. I don’t know. Sophie has a job. She just celebrated her one-year mark at her job here in New York City, so I’m really proud of her. And Adeline’s in school, so who knows?” she wondered. “I mean, they haven’t been asked.”

Also during the interview, Shannon joked that she kissed “just a few” men amid season 19.

“And it’s just a very short kiss. No boyfriends,” she insisted. “After the Love Hotel, I just don’t want to date right now. It was hard for me to accept that it was another failure, so I just don’t want to get hurt again right now.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
