Shannon Beador recently opened up about her past with Heather McDonald amidst their ongoing feud, explaining the reasons behind their previous silence toward each other. The star of The Real Housewives of Orange County also detailed a recent encounter with Heather prior to the latter’s controversial video.

Back in July, Heather, a comedian, shared a video on Instagram where she humorously showcased the frequency of Shannon’s falls and stumbles on the reality show. Heather suggested Shannon might be pretending to enhance her “storyline.” In response, Shannon labeled Heather as “obsessed” and noted that she had recently invited Heather to a house barbecue.

Speaking on the podcast Hate to Break It to Ya with Jamie Kennedy, Shannon delved into her history with Heather, shedding light on the dynamics of their relationship.

“I did a podcast – [Heather McDonald’s] podcast – live with Tamra Judge, and we got sued for defamation,” she said, referring to her past lawsuit from Jim Bellino, the former husband of Shannon’s castmate Alexis Bellino. “And I won, but I lost a lot of money. So Heather and I didn’t speak for quite some time.”

According to reports, Shannon’s part of the lawsuit was dismissed, though Tamra had to pay Jim in a settlement. Jim claimed that Tamra and Shannon made negative comments about him (on Heather’s Juicy Scoop podcast) that cost him $1 million concerning potential business.

“I won. I didn’t do anything defamatory, but I got sued for it,” Shannon added in the interview, via @housewivesfromahousewife on Instagram. “We had to pay a substantial sum of money to defend ourselves. … I won, [but] I lost $300,000. I didn’t get all the attorney’s fees awarded back. So I didn’t speak to Heather for a long time because I didn’t really get a lot of empathy coming from [her] end while it was happening.”

But Shannon said she recently saw Heather at Jeff Lewis‘ events.

“[So] I just [told her], ‘You know what? Let’s just let bygones be bygones. We’re good,’” Shannon shared. “And then she does the video. So yay, keep going. … By the way, she’s blocked. … I’m not faking it! I fall. Sorry. Get over it.”

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Thursday nights on Bravo.
