In light of Shia LaBeouf’s recent arrest in New Orleans, his former colleagues, Christy Carlson Romano and Khleo Thomas, seem to have subtly acknowledged the incident through social media activity.

Christy Carlson Romano, now 41, turned to her online platforms on Wednesday, February 18, and appeared to indirectly comment on her past Even Stevens castmate’s situation. Clad in a Mickey Mouse hoodie, a likely homage to the series’ Disney Channel roots, Carlson Romano refrained from directly naming LaBeouf, yet her message resonated with their shared history.

“When they ask you about your old costar, but you’ve stopped ‘inserting yourself,’” she wrote over a clip of herself lip-syncing to the viral sound, “I’m not involved. You made that very clear.”

Fans quickly picked up on the implications, with one commenting, “This is diabolical ‘Ren,’” in a nod to Carlson Romano’s character on the show. Another follower remarked on the peculiarity of being questioned about a coworker from two decades ago, highlighting how unusual such inquiries would be in most professions.

“What are your thoughts on someone you worked with 20 years ago is kind of a wild question for any other profession when you think about it,” another pointed out.

The Kim Possible alum wasn’t LaBeouf’s only costar to address his latest run-in with the law.

Khleo Thomas — who starred alongside the Transformers star in the 2003 film Holes — shared a hilarious reaction to LaBeouf’s arrest via TikTok.

Thomas, 37, sighed as he grabbed a shovel and walked offscreen in a video captioned, “Smh…I got it……”

The Holes reference, alluding to “digging” LaBeouf out of trouble, had millennials laughing in the comments.

“As funny as this is, I think he does lowkey need you man,” one fan wrote.

“This is so funny. Always got his back lmao!” another wrote.

LaBeouf was arrested early Tuesday morning after being beaten up in a brawl on the streets of New Orleans. He’s currently facing two charges of simple battery, TMZ reported. He appeared unfazed by his legal woes, however, taking to the streets the next day and dancing with his arrest papers in his mouth, per footage obtained by Page Six.
