Emerging reports suggest that musician D4vd is under scrutiny as a suspect in connection to the tragic death of Celeste Rivas.
According to sources within law enforcement, as conveyed to TMZ on Tuesday, authorities are currently focusing their investigation on D4vd. However, it appears that no official documentation has yet classified him as a suspect in the case.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has refrained from confirming these allegations. A spokesperson for the LAPD conveyed to Page Six that they are unable to verify claims labeling D4vd as a suspect. Nevertheless, NBC4 Investigates uncovered information from an LAPD insider suggesting that D4vd has indeed been identified as a suspect.
Allegations from a source with direct insight into the investigation imply that D4vd has not been cooperative with police efforts. It is believed that Rivas’ death occurred in the spring, and there are suspicions that the musician could have received assistance in the dismemberment and disposal of the body.
TMZ reports that authorities are handling Rivas’ death as a homicide, although the specific cause remains undetermined pending further examination by a Medical Examiner. Results from toxicology tests are still awaited.
A source for TMZ claimed that during the police investigation, it was revealed that the singer allegedly took a late night trip in the spring to a “remote area” of Santa Barbara County, where he remained for “several hours.”
The outlet noted that it’s “unclear” why the LAPD would be looking into such a trip, and that they have not “double-sourced” the alleged information.
Page Six has reached out to D4vd for comment.
Back in September, a decomposing body was found inside the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd. The body was later determined to be Celeste Rivas, 14.
