TV presenter Jacquie Beltrao has been fighting stage four cancer, having previously gone through chemotherapy and a mastectomy since her initial breast cancer diagnosis a decade ago.
The Sky News sports commentator admitted she was petrified at the prospect of having a scan, as always, but that she was gearing herself up for a new one.
The star also added she was hoping for “positive outcomes”.
She tweeted a photo of herself in a summery bikini and wrote: “Going into the scanner tomorrow thinking happy holiday thoughts!
“Trying not to think what ifs but PET scans scare the bejaysus out of me every.single.time,” she confided.
“If you’re in the same boat this week, next or the week after I’m right with you!”

Calling for urgency, she exclaimed: “For someone like me, cancer trumps COVID every day of the week.”
The former Olympic athlete has overhauled her diet completely in a bid to stay healthy for longer.
She has eliminated sugar from the foods she eats, and has also sampled oxygen therapy.
However, the fact that others who have been diagnosed with secondary cancer tend to have a life expectancy of a further three to five years, has left her fearful.
Having been told her cancer is treatable, but not curable, she still lives in hope of a “miracle remission”.
Jacqui has been branded a “true inspiration” by her Twitter fans following her candid conversations about the disease, with one suggesting she is a “great example” of how to live life to the full.
