The third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered earlier this month, and it seems the camaraderie among the Mormon influencers has never been more strained. Much of the current season’s upheaval roots itself in the actions of a former clique member, Demi Engemann, whose departure and subsequent actions have sent ripples through the show’s dynamics. The drama has escalated quickly, leaving viewers captivated.
In a particularly revealing episode, Jessi, one of the cast members, took to social media to disclose some long-hidden truths about Demi, now considered an adversary. Jessi’s revelations didn’t hold back, and she let slip a stunning secret that not only sent shockwaves through the MomTok community but also left the show’s audience reeling. The intrigue surrounding the phrase “Fruity Pebbles” and its connection to Demi has left many questioning why she had kept it under wraps for so long.
As the season unfolds, Demi finds herself increasingly alienated from MomTok, largely due to her disrespectful behavior towards several members during Season 2. Her isolation deepened following a controversial claim that she was sexually assaulted by Marciano Brunette, a cast member from Vanderpump Villa. This allegation clashed with the narrative painted by her own flirtatious text exchanges with him, further complicating the narrative and dividing opinions among the women.
Jessi Spilled The Tea About What ‘Fruity Pebbles’ Really Means
Throughout Season 3, Demi was frequently on the outs of MomTok after treating several of its members disrespectfully during Season 2. She became further estranged when she claimed a cast member from Vanderpump Villa, Marciano Brunette, sexually assaulted her, despite the rest of the women having access to Demi’s flirty text messages with him.
As the divide between Demi and the others continued to deepen, things seemed to grow even uglier. When Demi claimed that Jessi was jealous of her because reality TV legend Lisa Vanderpump mentioned her but not Jessi, apparently Jessi had the last straw. While sitting in her car, Jessi went on Instagram to drop a bombshell about Demi’s private life:
Since she wants to be petty and be an a******, I think I am just going to go ahead and say that grandpa Bret likes to drink her p*** like it is dirty soda. He gulps it down like water. And that is what Fruity Pebbles means.
Those who have watched the show from the start will recall that “Fruity Pebbles” was a mysterious reference to Demi’s private life with her husband Bret. While there were rumors about what the term could refer to, it was Jessi’s announcement that officially confirmed the meaning.
Demi Clapped Back At Jessi
Instead of denying Jessi’s claims, however, Demi got on Instagram herself to share her thoughts. She noted that, while Jessi’s confession was airing her dirty laundry, Demi actually thought that it was actually meant to take attention away from the fact that she had been sexually assaulted by Marciano.
On her Instagram stories, Demi shared some heartfelt words about the incident:
What my husband and I did one-time behind closed doors, was a consensual and private experience in our marriage. I won’t let a private act between my husband and I be a distraction from a serious act that I did not consent to.
Jessi herself has been at the heart of plenty of rumors this season, including one that, ironically, also includes Marciano. Earlier in the season, Jessi revealed that she’d had a brief “emotional affair” with Marciano during a brief separation from her husband Jordan. Since then, however, the two have been trying to work things out, with Jessi going to therapy, determined to heal her family.
Meanwhile, Demi has since appeared to make light of the Fruity Pebbles situation. Recently, she shared a joking video on her Instagram, featuring her and Bret reading about their dirty little secret in the news.
Demi dramatically turns to Bret and says, “Did you see the news?!” before the camera pans to him as he sips from a yellow drink and responds, “Yup.” At the end of the clip, Demi even shrugs and takes a spoonful of the cereal, proving she’s unfazed by the drama.
Some fans appeared shocked by the post. “Yesterday it was a “private experience” and a “private act” and now today this??? You’re draining,” wrote one. “This does not eat like you think it does,” wrote another. “How embarrassing for his older children 🤢” added yet another, referring to Bret’s teenage children from his previous marriage, to whom Demi is their stepmother.
Still, Demi seems committed to doubling down on her latest secret. She finished her post with a cheeky caption, writing: “Petitioning to change the title to Secret Lives of Kinky Wives 👀🥣 stay tuned…” All episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are available to stream now on Hulu.
