Love on the Spectrum season 3 alum Sonia Wiggins is happy that James B. Jones found love with Shelley Wolfe, despite her own relationship with the reality star not working out.

Sonia took to her Instagram on Tuesday, April 15, to share a photo of James, 37, and Shelley with the word “Congrats” written over it. In the caption, the Netflix personality wrote, “Congratulations James. I am delighted that you have found true love. I think you make a great couple and I wish you both all the best.”

Before James fell in love with Shelley on Love on the Spectrum season 3, which premiered on Netflix on April 2, he went on a date with Sonia. She was described as someone who loves heavy metal music and scarecrows and hates earthquakes and stepping on sidewalk cracks. Before their date at a restaurant, James gave Sonia a bouquet made of gummies, which she loved.

Though Sonia liked James, he wasn’t feeling a spark between them and decided not to pursue a second date with her. She was understanding and told him that they would be good friends. Still, she found herself tearing up over James’ rejection, and viewers asked for Sonia to return in a future season to have another chance at finding love.

“Sonia #LoveOnTheSpectrum better be back next season!! Her appearance was brief, but she was so cool and sweet, I want her to find her perfect match,” one person wrote on X.

Another user added, “Sonia is gorgeous and so damn sweet! Bring her back!! She deserves someone that makes her feel wanted.”

Meanwhile, some fans remained hopeful that sparks would fly between Sonia and James.

“Aw I loved Sonia!! Any guy would be lucky to have her, maybe if her and James stay friends, he’ll end up falling for her,” one fan wrote.

Though this wasn’t the case between Sonia and James, the Boston native did have a love connection with Shelley after meeting her online.

“She’s great. I really, really like her,” he told his parents. “I really hope that things will work out … She has a soft, quiet voice, but we have a lot in common. We like very similar movies, music, television series. We seem to have very similar social and political views.”

James and Shelley declared themselves boyfriend and girlfriend and shared their first kiss at his 37th birthday party.

“I definitely feel a very strong emotional connection,” he told her. “I really think we’re a great match for each other, absolutely. I’m definitely going to give it my best effort … Sometimes I have difficulty compromising, but I’m sure everybody does, you know … I suppose I can certainly make some certain compromises for you, of course.”

Now, James is confident that Shelley is “the one.”

“She’s so wonderful. So amazing,” he told People. “I can’t say enough just how great she is, and I’m absolutely certain that this time around it’s true love. … I’m hoping that she and I will spend the rest of our lives together.”

Likewise, Shelley has shared that she’s living her best life with James.

“I have never met anyone I feel so deeply connected to. He understands parts of me that I did not even know needed understanding,” she told a fan on TikTok. “I am my happiest when I am with him.”
