Disgraced Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Leviss has been residing in a voluntary mental health and trauma treatment center for the last 69 days. She has been receiving “mental health counseling” after her months-long affair with co-star Tom Sandoval went public, and she subsequently faced the consequences of her actions on national television for the show’s season 10 reunion.
At the time of her admittance to the unspecified facility, Raquel’s rep issued the following statement, “Raquel and her family decided before the relationship was discovered that she would enter a voluntary facility for mental health counseling.”
They added, “She was scheduled to go in pre-reunion but decided she wanted to finish her filming commitment. Bravo and production were aware and in support of her journey towards better mental health.”
Now, according to sources, Raquel is gearing up to tell her “unfiltered truth” after completing treatment in an effort to make reparations for her past behavior and actions. She’s planning to do this even as she receives death threats amid a public backlash.
“Upon the completion of filming the reunion, Raquel entered a voluntary inpatient behavioral health and trauma facility and remains there to date — 68 days and counting,” an insider recently revealed to Us Weekly on June 8. “Her treatment is helping her learn the basis of her decisions and to grow from her mistakes with the hope of making better choices and becoming a better person.”
“She is a young woman that is and has been remorseful for her actions and has apologized repeatedly. Her treatment is helping her learn the basis of her decisions and to grow from her mistakes with the hope of making better choices and becoming a better person,” a source close to Raquel told ET. “Raquel looks forward to sharing her story with the unfiltered truth when she comes out.”
Part three of the Pump Rules saw Raquel face her co-stars, including ex-BFF Ariana Madix, but her performance was lackluster, to say the least. While Sandoval’s moods spanned from anger to uncontrollable sobbing, Raquel remained what many deemed “emotionless.”
Reunion host Andy Cohen admitted that he was concerned for Raquel’s mental well-being prior to the reunion. He also went so far as to speculate on whether or not Raquel was under the influence of medication after seeing how unfazed she seemed. (Speaking of medication, looking at you, Tom Schwartz.)
“I was worried for Raquel’s mental health going into the reunion. I mean, I still am,” Andy told Variety on Wednesday, June 7. “But actually, when I saw how unemotional she was, it made me think she was really medicated or really out of touch with her role in everything.”
“I found that very confusing and it made me think that, maybe, there was something she was missing about what these relationships were,” Andy speculated. “It made me think that, maybe, she didn’t think they were as real as the other people thought. I didn’t understand.”
