Southern Charm’s Salley Carson Opens Up About Her Feelings for Austen, But He Sees Things Differently

Salley Carson has opened up about her noticeable flirtation with co-star Austen Kroll, following a recent episode of the popular reality series, Southern Charm. Her candid comments come in the wake of Austen’s breakup with Audrey Pratt.

Austen, 38, who had just ended his relationship with Audrey, expressed that he was not actively seeking a new romantic involvement. Despite this, Salley, 31, found herself at the center of attention when Whitner Slagsvol, 36, pointed out her flirtatious behavior towards Austen. Meanwhile, Shep Rose, 45, humorously suggested that Salley seemed to be casting a wide net of attraction.

Salley admitted to having a genuine fondness for Austen and expressed her admiration for his physique, affectionately referred to as a “dad bod.” “Anytime I’m with Austen, I’m flirting with him,” Salley confessed during the February 11 episode of the Southern Charm: After Show. Craig Conover, 36, also chimed in, concurring that the duo frequently engages in flirtatious exchanges.

Adding to the playful banter, Madison LeCroy, 35, observed that Salley and Austen behave as if they have mutual affections, while Molly O’Connell, 38, remarked on Salley’s “googly eyes” whenever Austen is nearby. The lighthearted dynamic between the cast members continues to fuel intrigue and entertainment for viewers of the show.

Then, after Madison LeCroy, 35, said Salley and Austen “act like they like each other,” Molly O’Connell, 38, said Salley gets “googly eyes” when Austen is around.

“I really like him. Leave me alone,” Salley replied. “I haven’t seen him naked. I want to see him naked … I love a dad bod. I don’t like a chiseled [man] .. let me snuggle that little dad bod of yours. I want to put my freaking face on your big belly.”

“You’re so like, girly,” Molly went on.

“When I get around him, I am,” Salley clarified.

Elsewhere, after Rodrigo Reyes, 41, noted that Salley was “throwing those crumbs,” Austen said that a new romance wasn’t on his radar.

“I just broke up with someone that I care about a lot. On top of that, there’s Salley, who I know has all sorts of plans to like … it’s flattering, right? But like, is it what I need right now? No,” he stated. “The worst piece of advice is like, going to like, get underneath of someone else.”

“That is not what I’m trying to do, but if she throws a compliment or two my way, I’m like, ‘Oh, thanks,’” he added.

As for Whitner, he recalled Salley flirting with him amid the cast’s trip to his family’s estate.

“That’s Salley. At this very trip, Salley was riding around with me the next morning as I was checking on cabins, and literally, on the porch in my cabin, rolled into my arms, [and] was like, ‘I just feel so comfortable around you.’ So that’s par for Salley’s course,” he noted.

Also weighing in, Shep added, ”[Salley] wants everyone to sort of be wrapped up in her web.”
