Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have given fans an intimate glimpse into their family life at Pickle Cottage with the launch of their new BBC reality series, This Is Us, which premiered on Tuesday, 1st April.

The beloved couple are opening up about their personal lives in the six-part series, offering viewers a peek into their hectic world.

From juggling careers to raising five children, Stacey and Joe candidly shared insights during the first episode.

Joe, 43, who shares Rex, five, Rosie, three, and one year old Belle with Stacey, spoke openly about the challenges of fatherhood.

The former EastEnders star, also dad to 17 year old Harry from a previous relationship, confessed that time management is his daily “battle” as he strives to keep work and family life in harmony.

“Honestly, the biggest battle in my life is timekeeping. Whether I’ve got to get the kids to school on time, pick them up on time, get dinner on time, get to bed on time, get to work on time, I am always one step behind time,” he revealed.

In heartfelt moments throughout the show, Joe and Stacey sat down for candid conversations, discussing their love, disagreements, and family dynamics, reports OK!.

Joe humorously summed up their situation, saying: “We’re like two swans floating down the river, we look all elegant and lovely on top but underneath we are kicking like mad!”

In a candid confession, Stacey, mother to Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships, exclaimed: “We are barely afloat!”

The celebrity couple also shared insights into their differing approaches to conflict and parenting styles. Stacey confessed she simply “doesn’t have time” to prolong disputes, while Joe disclosed that he tends to ruminate over issues, particularly when feeling unjustly treated.

“We don’t resolve arguments,” Stacey declared. “I don’t have enough time to carry on an argument. So, it’s like we’ve said our piece, done. I’ve got a million other things to do.”

Meanwhile, Stacey disclosed that Joe has a tendency to “wallow in self pity” for a “good few days” after they’ve had a spat.
