Is There Going to Be a Season 49 of ‘Survivor’?
Not to worry, CBS confirmed that Survivor season 49 and season 50 are slated to air during the 2025-2026 TV season.
Executive producer and beloved host Jeff Probst gushed about the major milestone 50th season in February 2025 – and revealed fan-interactive new rules and details of the game.
“From the very first season, SURVIVOR has been evolving. Now, for our 50th season, it’s time for the next evolution,” Jeff told Paramount in a statement. “SURVIVOR 50: In the Hands of the Fans is unlike anything we’ve done before. For the first time ever, our loyal fans will take control – deciding key elements of the game, from twists to idols to advantages. I can’t wait to see what the fans choose for our returning players!”
Mike Benson, president and chief marketing officer at CBS, shared the franchise’s deep appreciation for their die-hard fans and announced that select lucky winners will have the opportunity to live their own Survivor 50 experience.

“Honoring the fans with the power to shape the 50th season of SURVIVOR is a game changer for the fans and the show, and, in that spirit, CBS is launching its first-ever full year of celebrations for fans – and future fans – leading up to SURVIVOR 50, commencing with dream SURVIVOR-focused Fiji trips for five groups of SURVIVOR fans thanks to our partnership with Fiji Airways, which will also debut a SURVIVOR 50-branded Fiji Airways jet,” Mike said in a statement.
Jeff Probst Addresses ‘Survivor’ Season 49 Casting Rumors

“Somebody else put it in the air that Dierks Bentley was going to be on the show,” Jeff explained to TVLine at the time. “That’s not the case. We did reach out to him. We said, ‘Man, we’d love to talk to you if you’re interested,’ and he said, ‘Maybe one day.’ I genuinely think he meant it, but he said not right now.”
