Sydney Sweeney has impressed conservative admirers with her skills on the gun range after her American Eagle campaign caused controversy.

The “Euphoria” actress’ 2019 video of herself shooting targets with Taran Tactical Innovations has resurfaced after the firearms retailer reposted the footage on Instagram Saturday, splicing it with a clip from her controversial denim ad.

Sweeney’s Instagram video — which noted she was “training for a new project” — attracted plenty of new comments of support from mostly male fans despite it being six years old.

“3000% wifey material 👏🎉💯😮😍😂,” one comment reads.

“Strong, self thinking women are the sexiest! ❤️🇺🇸 Nice shooting Miss Sweeney!” another comment reads.

“We love this valid American women… 🙌,” another user wrote.

On Taran Tactical Innovations’ video, more netizens expressed their love for her.

“I am a new fan of Sydney. I hope she doesn’t cave to the cancel culture mob!” one user wrote.

“Make America hot again 🇺🇸🦅🔥,” another comment reads.

“American girl American shooter American genes American Eagle,” yet another comment reads.

One user wrote, “Just when you think she couldn’t get hotter 🔥.”

President Donald Trump praised Sweeney over the weekend after it was revealed she’s been registered with the Republican Party of Florida in Monroe County since June 2024.

“She’s a registered Republican?” Trump asked reporters on Sunday while leaving Allentown, Pa. “Is that right, is Sydney Sweeney [a Republican]?”

“If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic!”

In Sweeney’s now-infamous monologue for her American Eagle jeans campaign, she says, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”

Many social media users pointed out 27-year-old Sweeney’s blond hair and blue eyes while blasting the commercial, likening the ad to “Nazi propaganda” and a “racialized dog whistle” that promotes white genetics as superior.

American Eagle has stood by the ad. While Sweeney hasn’t personally responded to the backlash, she appeared to brush it all off on Saturday night when she went on a karaoke outing with her “Euphoria” co-stars Hunter Schafer and Maude Apatow at The GasLite in Santa Monica, Calif.

The trio sang “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes in videos shared online.

Their castmate Jacob Elordi was also spotted at the outing.
