Taylor Ann Green is clapping back at her ex-boyfriend, Shep Rose, and his claims about her taste in men.

As her relationship with Gaston Rojas, 32, continues to be a hot topic on Southern Charm, especially for newbie Salley Carson, 30, Taylor, also 30, spoke of Shep, 44, and his potential romance with Molly O’Connell, 37, reacted to Olivia Flowers‘ firing and Craig Conover‘s split from Paige DeSorbo, 32, and admitted to wanting Jarrett “JT” Thomas, 39, at the reunion.

“Making the decision to come back was a really tough one. But I definitely didn’t want to leave on the note that I had left on last season,” Taylor began during a January 31 interview with Decider, signaling last year’s love triangle with Olivia, 32, and Austen Kroll, 37.

When season 10 went into production, Taylor had the support of Gaston. However, not all of her co-stars were a fan, including Shep.

“I don’t think he has any room to speak about anything when it comes to relationship-wise, like anybody, and especially me. So I’m just kind of like, ‘Keep your mouth shut, dude,’” Taylor said of her former boyfriend’s criticism.

Although Taylor didn’t appreciate Shep’s input, she “encouraged” a romance between him and Molly.

“I love Molly. I think that she is an absolute catch,” she explained. “I kind of shipped it as well. But looking back, I was like, ‘Why would I do that to Molly?’”

Moving on to Salley’s suggestion that Gaston had cheated, Taylor confirmed “there was never any crossover.”

“She thought that there was crossover between me and her and that was shocking … I started dating Gaston in September and they had stopped seeing, talking to, and had zero communication back in July,” she clarified.

Looking back at season nine, Taylor admitted to feeling that Austen was let off easier than she was after their kiss.

“Olivia [was] more open to forgiving him and being seen on vacation with him after we were done filming. They still kind of had some sort of friendship. And so that’s where I was like, ‘Well, I think I didn’t get the pass there,’” she explained. 

While her friendship with Olivia came to a screeching halt as a result of her kiss with Austen, Taylor revealed that the two of them recently reconciled.

“I hate that the viewers don’t get to see that reconciliation,” she noted, adding that she was “really upset” when Olivia didn’t return for season 10.

“That was really the whole reason of why I wanted to come back — so that we could have reconciliation not just for the viewer to see, but for myself and for herself,” she stated.

Then, when asked about Craig, 35, and Paige, Taylor admitted to thinking her castmate was “too sweet” for the Summer House star as she revealed what she texted him after the breakup.

“I just said, ‘Hey, bud, thinking about you, hope you’re doing okay, staying busy, seems like you’re doing just that.’ So he just said, ‘Thanks, Tay. Appreciate it.’ I wasn’t all that surprised … I think that Craig just has always wanted more,” she explained. “[And] I think that Paige really did kind of groom them to be the it guy.”

According to Taylor, she thinks Bachelor alum Matt James‘ ex, Rachael Kirkconnell, 28, would be a better fit for Craig.

“She is adorable. She seems like she’s ready to settle down. She probably will look at Craig’s house and be like, ‘Take me in, sweep me off my feet. I will say, yes, tomorrow,’” she suspected.

After then noting that there’s “a lot of drama” and “a lot of laughter and goofing off” on the coming episodes of Southern Charm, Taylor revealed that while she hasn’t spoken to JT since he announced his departure from the show last November, she’d like to see him at the reunion.

“Hopefully, JT will show back up for the reunion and he’ll be able to shed a little bit more as to what’s going on because we’re all kind of left in the dark here with his exit,” she explained. “Everybody has gone through tough seasons and there’s times where everybody didn’t want to show up, but we did. And I think that he owes it to not only us, but he owes it to himself.”
