Taylor Swift was not hit in the face while celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ AFC Championship win with Travis Kelce on the field, Us Weekly can confirm.

“Taylor was never punched!” a source exclusively tells Us after a video circulated online claiming that Swift, 35, was accidentally knocked in the chin.

According to the clip, a man went up to Kelce, 35, while he had his arms wrapped around Swift following his win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 26. While the footage is unclear, many fans debated the interaction on social media, claiming Swift was punched.

However, the insider says that the clip doesn’t show the “full picture,” telling Us that the unidentified person simply “went in for a hug.”

Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday when the Chiefs secured their spot in Super Bowl LIX after defeating the Bills 32-29. After the game, Swift took to the field alongside Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, and pal Brittany Mahomes to celebrate.

As Travis and Brittany’s husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, were awarded the Lamar Hunt Trophy, Swift thanked her longtime pal for being a shoulder to lean on during the playoffs.

“You kept me so calm these last couple of weeks,” Swift told Brittany according to fan footage circulating online. “I did not know what to do. I was like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.’”

Swift added that her “heart” was in her “throat” while watching the close matchup between the two teams. Brittany, for her part, agreed, adding, “I was literally up there pumping, stressing.” (Brittany recently gave birth to daughter Golden. She and Patrick, 29, also share daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2.)

Once Travis was reunited with his loved ones on the field, Swift congratulated her boyfriend by giving him a sweet kiss. In addition to the PDA moment, Swift and Donna, 72, issued a warning to Travis as he gears up to head down to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

When Travis claimed he owes “New Orleans a little something,” Swift jumped in to recommend he stay away from Bourbon Street — an area in NOLA famously known for its bars and clubs. Donna, for her part, agreed with the pop star, adding, “We know your history.”

While playing with the University of Cincinnati, he was expected to start in the big game but he failed a marijuana test and ended up missing the matchup. The tight end was subsequently suspended for the entire 2010 season and lost his scholarship.

Travis and the Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome. The Chiefs are attempting to make history as they hope to get their third consecutive Super Bowl win — which will be the first time it would happen in NFL history.
