Teddi Mellencamp had a great Mother’s Day being “spoiled” by her kids.

Mellencamp, 41, shared a series of photos via her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 11, that showed off a day well spent. The reality star, who is currently fighting stage 4 cancer, shares daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 5, as well as son Cruz, 10, with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave.

“The kiddos spoiled me,” Mellencamp captioned one photo. “Feeling so happy and blessed.”

In April, Mellencamp showed off scars from her brain surgery while attending the Unforgettable Evening, Benefiting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund at the Beverly Hilton. Mellencamp underwent surgery to remove two tumors that had metastasized from her Melanoma diagnosis.

Hours before the event on April 28, Mellencamp took to Instagram to open up about her scars, sharing that she “cried” when she first saw them. “It’s been 76 days since I went to the ER with unbearable headaches and quickly found out I had multiple stage 4 tumors, the size of plums’ in my brain and lungs,” she wrote at the time. “Melanoma had metastasized there and been there for ‘6 months to a year’ and we had no clue.”

Mellencamp continued: “When I first looked at this picture, at the scars on my head and my arm, I cried. Then, I felt a warmness rush through my body and felt so much peace. Peace from the incredible support system I have in my family and friends. Peace from the outpouring of love from y’all on here. Peace in knowing my story could help somebody save their life.”

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed her diagnosis of stage 2 melanoma in October 2022. “Melanoma awareness update. Despite my anxiety, I listened to the doctors and went in for my 3-month skin check last week since my previous melanoma,” Mellencamp wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of a scar on her right shoulder.

“They said I had another abnormal spot near my last one so they did a biopsy,” she continued. “I got the call this morning: Stage 2 melanoma. Now, next Wednesday I go to an oncologist to have it cut out and come up with a game plan on next steps.”

“I so badly wanted to blow this off. ‘What could happen in 3 months?’ I thought. Apparently a lot,” she added. “This has been such a wakeup call for me, and I hope to all of you, to love and protect the skin you’re in.”

Mellencamp tied the knot with Arroyave in 2011 and the pair welcomed their first child, daughter Slate, less than a year later. She filed for divorce from Arroyave in November 2024.
