Teresa Giudice opened up about the toxicity of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and needing a break from filming during an interview on Tuesday.

As she also spoke of her “permanent break” from brother Joe Gorga, 50, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, 45, and Luis Ruelas, 50, not wanting to be a part of the Bravo reality series and its drama, Teresa, 52, spoke of blending her and Luis’ families together and gushed over her new lip collection with Christian Audette Beauty.

“[Things are] not resolved. But it’s good to take a break [from the show]. Yeah, it’s good. It was very toxic,” Teresa admitted during a January 28 interview on PIX11.

Then, when asked about her family, Teresa confirmed, “That’s a permanent break.”

As the series remains on pause after season 14, Teresa is “concentrating on [her] family.”

“I have four beautiful daughters, as you guys know, I have an amazing husband and two wonderful stepsons and four dogs so I have a busy household,” she explained. “I’m also looking to open up a restaurant and I want to get the whole family involved so it’s exciting. I have a successful podcast, Turning the Tables, so I have a lot going on.”

Looking back at the start of her relationship with Luis, Teresa said she came into his life, and the lives of his two sons, nearly five years ago.

“I get along great with them. Our families blended beautifully together. I had other stuff going on, but none of that, and that’s the best gift I could ask for because that’s hard, blending children together. But for us, it was smooth sailing,” she revealed.

That said, there have been some hiccups for Luis on RHONJ.

“I feel bad for my husband because he was thrown into that, and he didn’t want no part of that,” Teresa noted. “Now, it’s been a while now since the craziness and the toxicity, so it’s all good now.”

Regarding whether or not she ever second-guessed her role on the show, Teresa confessed to having questions after Joe and Melissa were cast.

“The first and second season wasn’t bad. It was after that, that’s when my family came on and then that’s when, [I’m like], ‘I didn’t sign up for this,’” she explained.

Also during the interview, Teresa detailed her new lip collection.

“I’m all about high-quality fashion glam so I partnered up with Christian Audette and I wanted to come up with my own lip collection,” she shared. “I was like, I just want my own that I can always use every day, so I picked a nude, like a mauvy pink, and a super hot red … And the names are ‘I do,’ ‘Beso,’ it’s after Luis and I, and ‘365,’ after the series ‘365 Days.’ You can wear it 365 days of the year.”
