Teresa Giudice recently opened up about the pivotal role her husband, Luis Ruelas, played in mending the strained relationship with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga. The star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey credited Luis as the key force in their reconciliation, explaining that he facilitated the process, making it smoother for both her and Melissa.

In a surprising turn of events ahead of BravoCon 2025, Teresa and Joe astonished fans by putting their prolonged feud to rest. While Joe, Melissa, and Teresa have shared glimpses of their journey back to harmony, Luis has chosen to remain mostly in the background.
During her Turning the Tables podcast, Teresa was prompted to discuss Luis’s involvement in their reunion.
“That’s an excellent question. I feel like my dear husband doesn’t receive the recognition he truly merits,” Teresa expressed. “After I reached out to my brother, we arranged a meeting, followed by a gathering of all four of us. [Luis] was genuinely the catalyst in all of this, as he and my brother seamlessly reconnected.”
“That’s an amazing question. I feel like my poor honey doesn’t get all the credit he deserves,” said Teresa. “Because after I reached out to my brother, me and him met, then the four of us met. [Luis] was really the driver behind this, because him and my brother just picked up right where they left off.”
“And then it just made it so much easier for Melissa and I,” she continued.
Teresa’s co-host added, “It just kind of shows how much of a family man he is and how he really has your best interests at heart.”
“He always wants to make me happy,” Teresa added. “So he was just happy for me. And I have to say, by him and my brother speaking every day, it just really helped me and Melissa. … I don’t know — it was just very easy to get back to … the way it was before. Like we just picked up exactly kind of where we left off. And it was very easy.”
On a past episode of Turning the Tables, Joe shared insight into their family reunion.
“I was just like waiting for that call. I really was. I just said, ‘She’ll call one day. She’ll call,’” Joe stated at the time. “I was waiting for you to call. It was up to you. So it was your call, and I waited, and it was great.”
“I missed you,” Teresa responded. “Did you miss me?”
“I did,” he said. “[I missed] almost everything. We had an amazing relationship. Again, we were best friends. And just her silliness because she’s funny as f**k. … The biggest thing that really hurt me a lot [was that] our parents are gone, and we’re not talking. So it wasn’t good. It wasn’t a good feeling. But now, you know, that would never happen again.”
