Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey wasn’t the series’ best. The Housewives were divided, and group gatherings were no longer fun or light; they were typically dark-humored, with many Housewives walking on eggshells. Although the series added two new Housewives to the roster in Season 13, more needed to be done to restore the series to its former glory.
Teresa Giudice is, understandably, a polarizing figure within the franchise as an original Housewife, and someone who has shared so much of her life in front of the cameras. However, even Teresa’s star power couldn’t save Season 14. In a May 2025 interview with The Fred Show, Teresa shared some insights on the show’s future and, more importantly, whether she would be a part of it.
Teresa Giudice Plans On Returning To The Real Housewives of New Jersey
In May 2025, Bravo announced a new set of shows and renewals coming to the network within the next year. Shockingly, a major show was left off the list: The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
The series has faced some hardships in the past, with poor reviews and viewership. Teresa Giudice has been a part of the series since its inception and became a focal point in the series, bringing family members and close friends to the roster. According to Bravo, she has one of the darkest storylines in the franchise after going to prison for 11 months, getting a divorce from the father of her children, and embarking on a decades-long feud with her brother and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga.

With so many challenges and a relatively rough Season 14 with the group, fans of the series wondered if she would return to take charge of her reign or retire from The Real Housewives.
The OG is Back
In a May 2025 interview with The Fred Show (via EntertainmentNow), Teresa shed some light on the show’s status on Bravo and what that meant for her.
“We’re on pause right now, but I am going to BravoCon. Yeah, so I just got notice about that, so I’m excited about that. So yeah, so I mean obviously, you know, if I’m going to BravoCon, you know what that means.”
BravoCon is a three-day event for Bravo fans. It’s filled with Bravolebrities, panels, meet-and-greets, and more. It’s the ultimate fan fest for those who love all things Bravo. Typically, the celebrities at BravoCon are current cast members.
Teresa Giudice Wants “New Blood”
With Teresa alluding to coming back for Season 15, she had some big thoughts for the new season. “I don’t know what the holdup is, but you know, listen, you know, sometimes you need to take a break to weed out, you know, the bad stuff and bring it back,” she shared on the show. “So just like they did with [Real Housewives of ] Atlanta, and you know, Atlanta’s killing it now.”
Furthermore, Teresa feels like the new season needs new blood if it wants to perform better on Bravo.
“Yes, I would hope, you know, definitely we need some new blood.”
The mom of four shared, “Yeah, we definitely need some new blood in there. And I like meeting new blood. I do. Yeah, I’m a girl’s girl.”
New blood doesn’t necessarily mean RHONJ will be as good as it used to be. The recast of The Real Housewives of New York is a great example that things don’t work despite fresh faces.
Knowing the series won’t return in 2026, longtime fans are curious when they can expect updates on the cast and premiere.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Won’t Be Back For A While
Although Teresa Giudice shared that she’s willing to be a part of Season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Andy Cohen let fans know that it’s going to “be a while” before a new season begins.
During an interview with Access Hollywood, Andy Cohen shared that RHONJ wouldn’t be back for some time, “Oh, not for a while. Oh yeah.” In fact, in 2024, he pleaded with fans to “stop asking” about RHONJ because he didn’t have an update.
“You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking. And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
According to Page Six, on a June 2025 episode of The View, Andy reiterated that the show was recasting some of its Housewives to make the series better than ever. “It was really on a deep pause and we are actively there casting and looking at the future of what that will be.”
With the show on a “deep pause” and the network seeking new women for the roster, many are wondering which Housewives are returning and which are gracefully exiting. If Teresa Giudice is on board, the next biggest question is if her rival Melissa Gorga is joining as well, because it could set the tone for Season 15.
Regardless if Teresa joins the new season or not, she’s still one of the longest-running Housewives and should be a part of Bravo’s events forever because of it.
