Victoria Beckham lifts the lid on her legendary WAG era in her fresh self-titled Netflix documentary.

The three-part series delves into everything from Posh Spice’s chart-topping years to her union with former footballer David Beckham.

Following her meteoric rise as part of the iconic girl band Spice Girls, Victoria consistently dominated the headlines.

However, once the group disbanded, the 51-year-old sensation secured her position amongst the wives-and-girlfriends of prominent footballers.

In 2006, Victoria alongside her fellow WAGs travelled to Germany to support the England squad throughout the World Cup, reports OK!

“It was fun! I had big boobs, I had big hair,” Victoria reflects on the notorious expedition, where the WAGs immersed themselves in retail therapy.

She remembers: “I remember seeing one of these wives that had bought so many designer clothes and had so many bags she couldn’t get in the revolving doors of Baden-Baden hotel.”

Whilst projecting glamour throughout that period, Victoria confesses there was an “attention seeking” aspect to the entire spectacle.

“I look at those pictures and I smile, but when I look back and think, ‘Why?’

“I suppose there was an element of attention seeking, if I’m being completely honest, it was at a time when I didn’t feel creatively fulfilled so it’s how I stayed in the conversation – from Spice Girl to WAG,” she revealed.

“I didn’t realise it at the time but I was trying to find myself. I felt incomplete, sad, frozen in time maybe.”

The now-renowned fashion designer later abandoned her signature WAG style after making a name for herself in the fashion industry. She confessed: “I buried those boobs in Baden-Baden. I became a simpler, more elegant version of myself and I went to work.”

Baden-Baden is a spa town located in southwestern Germany. It has won over celebrities like Ed Sheeran, who declared the small town as his “favourite place” in Germany.

It’s one of The Great Spa Towns of Europe, rubbing shoulders with places like Bath. Besides being a celebrity favourite, Baden-Baden boasts popular thermal springs, vast forests and luxurious spa retreats.

While Victoria “buried her boobs” in the German town, she reportedly continues to visit its Villa Stéphanie Spa and Wellbeing retreat with her family.
