Two years after the third season premiered, “The Morning Show” is finally back for Season 4.

The show picks up roughly two years after we last saw Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon), just as the UBA-NBN merger is closing.

Per Apple TV+’s official synopsis, “the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?”

In past seasons, the show has dealt with real world events, like the COVID-19 pandemic, the #MeToo movement, and the January 6 insurrection, but director and executive producer Mimi Leder confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the new season will not touch on the 2024 Presidential election.

“We did not touch the election – this season ends right before the election,” she said. “Our show is not about elections; our show is about the world, about AI, about deepfakes, about environmental tragedies. It’s about democracy.”

“The Morning Show” Season 4 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 17 on Apple TV+. New episodes will come out every Wednesday through Nov. 19.

Apple TV+ has not confirmed a release time, but the streamer will often release new episodes of original series the night before their listed premiere date. In the case of “The Morning Show,” you’ll likely be able to watch new episodes as early as 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday nights.

“The Morning Show” continues airs exclusively on Apple TV+, so you’ll need a subscription to watch the new series.
