All 10 episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 dropped on Hulu on May 15, and the MomTok crew is as dysfunctional as ever. But it was the jaw-dropping final moments of the season finale that truly left viewers stunned.
In Episode 10, Layla Taylor meets with Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Brunette, who finds himself at the center of MomTok drama after expressing feelings for Demi Engemann when the women traveled to Lisa Vanderpump’s Italian castle for the show’s second season. Demi, who is married to Brett Engemann, has continued to deny any relationship with Marciano. In fact, she even allegedly sent a cease and desist to MomTok’s Jen Affleck, who tossed around the idea that Demi was unfaithful.
However, in a private conversation with Layla, Marciano revealed that it wasn’t Demi he allegedly had a romance with. In the jaw-dropping final moments of Season 2, he dropped a bombshell: he was heavily involved with another woman of MomTok.
The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives Season 2 Ends On An Explosive Cliffhanger About Jessi Ngatikaura
Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives ended on an incredibly shocking cliffhanger. After it was rumored that Demi Engemann was unfaithful to her husband, Brett Engemann, with Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette, he dropped a bombshell that he allegedly actually had an “extensive” relationship with MomTok’s Jessi Ngatikaura. No one saw this coming.
But, before we get into that, the entire season saw the ladies of MomTok skeptical about a rumor that Demi cheated on Brett when she and a few of the ladies of MomTok traveled to Italy to star in Season 2 of Vanderpump Villa. While there, Villa’s Marciano Brunette admitted that he had an instant attraction to Demi. For those that watched Villa, we don’t see Marciano and Demi do anything harmful besides having a flirtatious back and forth.
After Villa Season 2 premiered, Demi and Marciano found themselves in a bitter social media war in which Demi accused Marciano of alleged sexual assault. Meanwhile, Marciano alleged that he was not allowed at a Hulu event because a certain MomTok star didn’t want her husband to know the truth. While fans all believed he was talking about Demi, it seems that he was actually speaking about Jessi.
In SLOMW Season 2, there is another rumor that pertains to Jessi and Marciano allegedly making out in public in Los Angeles. However, Jessi denied it ever happened when she was confronted by the MomTok ladies. “If I was dumb enough to do that, I wouldn’t do it in public,” she insisted.
And, that’s where we get to the conclusion of Episode 10 of SLOMW. Layla Taylor wants to get to the bottom of things about Marciano’s rumored romance with Demi. However, he admits that nothing happened between him and Demi, although he did find her extremely attractive. He does admit that the rumor that he kissed Jessi in public, however, is very true. Additionally, Marciano allegedly claims that he and Jessi went further than just kissing, sharing that they had sex.
“It’s not like this was just some freaking one-night stand,” he tells Layla. “No, it’s a full-blown f****** affair,” she replies.
Marciano shares that Jessi’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, “doesn’t know the truth of how extensive it was. “He also tells Layla that he and Jessi also “tried meeting up” several times behind Jordan’s back. With that bombshell, the season came to a close, leaving fans absolutely gobsmacked.
Jessi Ngatikaura Received Support From MomTok After The Episode Was Released
After Season 2 left fans reeling from Marciano’s alleged truth bomb about his relationship with Jessi, a brief teaser offered a glimpse of what’s to come in Season 3.
In the short clip, Jessi is seen denying the rumor about her and Marciano, and her husband, Jordan, claims that Demi is to blame for spreading the lie. We also see Jordan outside and appearing to cry.
Following the premiere of Season 2, Demi took to TikTok to address the swirling rumors about her alleged infidelity. While she kept her comments brief, many believe the full story will unfold in the upcoming season.

Jessi is seen lip-syncing the lyric: “Me and my truth, we sit in silence,” which is from Ariana Grande’s song, “we can’t be friends (wait for your love).” She captioned her video, “I’ll speak when I can.” We can assume that Jessi won’t be spilling any more details on the rumor before Season 3 is released.
After she posted her video several of her MomTok friends rallied around her and appear to take her side in the matter. Taylor wrote in the comment section, “It will always surface, patience bby💗.” Mikayla Matthews wrote, “Truth always comes out ily❤️.” Mayci Neeley wrote, “Yes my queen ❤️.”
Layla, who was the one to confront Marciano, also took Jessi’s side. Sharing Jessi’s video on an Instagram Story, she wrote, “So proud of Jess and how she’s handling all the noise. That met up with Marciano was the opposite of what I expected and I can’t wait for the truth to be shown. I love you Jess.”
How Did Jessi’s Husband Respond?
The husbands of MomTok played a much larger role in Season 2, with increased screen time and deeper involvement in the drama. In the teaser following the explosive finale, tensions rise as Jordan appears visibly upset after suspecting that Demi may have been the one to spread the rumor about his wife and Marciano.
Jordan has not commented on Marciano’s bombshell allegations. However, he did share an Instagram Story about the show being No. 1 on Hulu when it was released.
In an interview on the The Viall Files podcast (via Us Weekly), Jessi did not go into detail about Marciano’s allegations, but she did give an update on her marriage, and it appeared that the alleged infidelity put a strain on their relationship.
“I will say that reality TV is hard on any relationship, whether it’s a friendship or a marriage,” she shared. “We’ve been through a lot and now it’s going to be public.”
Jessi was also not wearing her wedding ring during the interview, and she was called out about it. “We’re trying our best — but things are a little tricky right now. I’m excited to hopefully someday share more about that. But right now it’s just real life and it’s hard.”
As for her friendship with Demi, Jessi told Page Six that it was irreparable. “I’ll never be friends with her again. And I’m a pretty forgiving person. So it’s a lot for me to say that.”
