The Valley continues to surprise fans with its ups and downs among cast members. With a heavy focus on the issues between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, the tables have turned, and the attention is now on Danny Booko’s dark side with drinking.
Danny and his wife, Nia Sanchez, have a seemingly perfect relationship. Many have stated that Danny and Nia have one of the best reality TV marriages on Bravo. However, in recent episodes, it looks like Danny and Nia may be sweeping some of their bigger issues under the rug instead of dissecting them in front of the cameras like their castmates.
Danny Booko’s Dark Side Was Revealed On The Valley Despite A Picture-Perfect Life
It looks like a nice weekend away in Santa Barbara didn’t go as planned for those on The Valley. Although the production focused on issues between Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei, Danny Booko’s behavior concerned some friends.
After Danny missed a day of entertainment with his castmates because he had to work, he rejoined the cast for some wine tasting the next day. However, a relaxing day sipping wine outside turned dark when Danny drank more wine than his castmates and passed out in bed. Instead of his wife, Nia Sanchez, saying Danny had too much to drink and was drunk, she told everyone he was exhausted and needed sleep. Nia’s defense bothered some co-stars.

Brittany Cartwright genuinely asked, “Do you think Danny is, like, too drunk to come to dinner?” after the group had a beautiful private chef attend their home. Jasmine Goode used Brittany’s concern to bring up a prior situation that happened between her and Danny.
“Before dinner, me and Janet [Caperna] were talking and she told me that she caught Danny in the cupboard taking shots and it kind of made her feel uncomfortable.” The reality TV star continued, “Because we all know he has an issue with drinking and he gets kind of inappropriate. I’ve dealt with this ‘dark side Danny’ before.”
Jasmine elaborated on a situation that happened a year prior. “[Danny] grabbed my thigh and told me to ‘go get daddy a drink.’ And I was just like, ‘Wait, Danny, if you don’t back the hell up off me right now.'”
Danny wholeheartedly apologized for being inappropriate and explained that it wasn’t his “character” to do something like that. However, the insinuation of a drinking problem persisted.
Despite Danny’s apology, the cast became annoyed at Danny and his wife, Nia, for not being authentic about Danny’s drinking — especially after Janet caught Danny taking “chugging” tequila in the pantry. Brittany, in particular, was bothered that she had her entire life splashed on tabloids and dissected on the show, but felt Nia and Danny were keeping their marital issues (like Danny’s drinking) private.
Allegedly, Nia and Danny’s picture-perfect relationship wasn’t how it seemed. According to E! Online, Jasmine said in a confessional, “I get it, Nia wants to protect her partner, but it’s the whole playing naive, everything’s okay. Everyone’s calling bulls**t. We all can see it, especially when we have been a part of it, I have been a part of it. So, it’s kind of triggering me and it’s just making my head spiral a little bit.”
Danny denied having an issue with drinking, and Nia later explained that they took the group’s concerns seriously and that Danny was in therapy to work on himself.
The biggest questions now are:
- Does Danny have a secret drinking problem?
- What else are Danny and Nia hiding in their relationship?
Danny Booko Isn’t The Only Valley Cast Member With A Dark Side
Although the cast are insinuating that Danny has a problem with drinking, he’s not the only cast member with an alleged dark side. The skeletons in these cast members’ closets are what make The Valley so fascinating.
Jax Taylor
Jax Taylor is Bravo’s resident bad boy. He speaks his mind regardless of being called a liar, cheater, and narcissist. Brittany Cartwright married Jax despite his dark side, but the two are now divorcing after getting married in 2019. In Season 2 of The Valley, Brittany broke the fourth wall and shared that Jax was addicted to cocaine. Between his addiction and rage issues, Jax was in rehab for the majority of Season 2.
Jesse Lally
With Jax in rehab, Jesse Lally has become the main villain. The star is also going through a divorce from castmate Michelle Saniei and has quoted her as a “hooker” and an “escort,” among many other names. As the mother of Jesse’s child, many were left with the ick. Regardless of their marital woes, his name-calling and the mental games he was playing with Michelle were hard to watch.
Jason Caperna, Luke Broderick, and Zack Wickham are the remaining male cast members on The Valley, and luckily, they’re great reality TV without an apparent dark side (as of now).
Unlike Season 1, Season 2 of The Valley will get a reunion hosted by Andy Cohen. Fans are hoping Danny’s alleged issues with alcohol are laid out on the table, just as others had. It will also be interesting to see if Danny and Nia are questioned about their seemingly perfect relationship.
Fans hope for positive updates on Jesse and Michelle’s nasty divorce, and for Jax to be present after missing Season 2 to work on himself.
