The Valley Season 2 has already kicked off with a drama-filled premiere episode. In Episode 1, Jax Taylor discovers that his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, sent a “sexy video” to his former friend, Julian. The discovery comes after Jax found intimate text messages between the two on their son Cruz’s iPad. Though the confrontation wasn’t shown on camera, Jax and Brittany reportedly got into a heated argument — with Jax seeing red and Brittany calling the moment “terrifying.”
Jax admitted that his reaction was not okay, especially since their son was in another room. In an upcoming episode, the former couple clash again as Brittany refuses to let Jax be alone with Cruz due to his temper, and reveals she’s ready to move forward with their divorce. Both Brittany and their close friends urge Jax to seek professional help.

Tom Schwartz Has A Difficult Conversation With Jax Taylor After A Blow Out With Brittany Cartwright
Season 2 of The Valley jumps straight into the drama, with a heated moment between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright that was not captured on camera. The former couple tell their own versions of events to their friends, with Jax admitting to a fit of rage to co-star Jesse Lally, after finding out that his estranged wife was messaging his former friend. It riled up Jax as he claimed Brittany wanted to work on their marriage.
“I went full f****** unhinged, raged … It was bad. I’ve gotten, like, that angry before, but that’s the worst it’s ever gotten,” Jax said.
Meanwhile, Brittany shared with Michelle Saniei her own version of events, calling the moment “terrifying” as she had never seen Jax become so riled up to the point where he “flipped the coffee table” and was yelling at her. “His rages and everything have gotten so much worse,” she tells Michelle. With most of the former couple’s friends and co-stars learning about Jax’s outburst, they all believed that it was time he seek professional help.
Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Schwartz makes an appearance at Jax’s bar, Jax’s Studio City, in Episode 1. Jax is throwing a party after not being invited to Brittany’s white party with all their co-stars and friends. Sitting down with Jax, Tom expresses that he’s concerned about his friend.

“I’m worried about you. I’ve never seen you so high-strung,” Tom says in a one-on-one conversation. “The other night Brittany pulled me aside, and we had a heart-to-heart. She said she doesn’t feel comfortable being in the same room as you without company.”
Tom added, “I didn’t know that you were capable of that type of behavior, to be honest.” As Jax tells Tom that he was upset that another man “infiltrated his marriage,” Tom admits that his “feelings are vaild,” but the way he handled the situation was out of line.
“The way you reacted is not f***** valid. … There’s just no excuse for that,” Tom said, adding, “I feel like, honestly, you’re headed towards rock bottom with your recent behavior, and I feel like if you don’t seek some sort of help, some sort of counseling, I don’t know, therapy…”
Tension Rises Between Jax And Brittany On Season 2 Of The Valley
Brittany Takes Matters Into Her Own Hands This Season
A preview of what’s to come this season heavily focuses on Jax getting the help he needs to be a better man for himself and his son, Cruz. However, before Jax heads to an inpatient facility for his mental health, he has one final encounter with Brittany that doesn’t end well.
Jax and Brittany are seen getting into a heated argument in their former shared home. “What have you been doing the last five months?” Jax was seen screaming at his estranged wife, who then replied, “I hooked up with somebody while I was separated.”
Brittany then tells Jax that she would be “filing [for divorce] right away,” seeking full custody of their young son, and “putting a restraining order against you,” before she added that Jax goes out “getting drunk [and] running around with sluts.” Later, Brittany is in tears as Jax is seen packing a suitcase. “You need to go get help for yourself and for our son. He cannot grow up and be a person like you.”
In another scene, Kristen Doute goes over to Jax’s home where she encourages Jax to seek professional help.
“You’re not allowed to be around Cruz by yourself. I don’t understand how rock bottom for you is not right now,” she tells him.
Meanwhile, friends and The Valley co-star’s Jason Caperna and Danny Booko are also seen supporting Jax as he decides to get proper help for his well-being.
In July 2024, Jax entered an inpatient facility for 30 days to work on “serious anger issues” and to get better for his son. After completing his stay, he shared that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In March, Jax revealed on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast that he has struggled with an addiction to cocaine “on and off since I was 23.” However, as of this writing, he is now sober and has stopped drinking alcohol.
VPR Alums Lala Kent And Scheana Shay Will Also Make Cameos On The Valley Season 2
A Preview Sees Lala Kent In A Heated Conversation With Jesse Lally
The Season 2 trailer shows more Vanderpump Rules alums making appearances, including Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, and her husband, Brock Davies. During what looks like a pool party with all of The Valley stars, Lala is seen confronting Jesse, and it’s not pretty.
Lala appears to be speaking to Jesse about Michelle, his ex-wife, who chose to divorce him following the conclusion of Season 1. Hearing her confront Jesse brings fans back to those fond VPR days when Lala stuck up for herself and her friends on many occasions.
“You’re mean to my friend. I think you’re toxic. I think you’re a narcissist, and I’m happy that I don’t have to deal with you,” she tells him.
Scheana will also appear in the new season, and she’s seen attending the same party as Lala. She and the rest of the cast take shots while Zack Wickham, who is bumped from a friend to a main cast member, yells, “To new Moby Dick for Brittany.” The moment seems to hint that the party is celebrating Brittany’s new single life.
Additionally, Tom is seen in another scene on the show and again with Jax. (It’s awesome to see a few VPR cast mates are still friends). This time, Jax is heard telling him, “I was a f****** terrible husband. I’m a great father. Terrible husband,” to which Tom agrees. “Yeah.”
New episodes of The Valley Season 2 air on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. The show also streams on Peacock the following day.
