Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor was known for being a ladies’ man throughout his time on the show, dating the likes of his co-stars and SUR restaurant employees Stassi Schroeder, Laura-Leigh, and even hooking up with Kristen Doute and one-season star Vail Bloom. However, he ditched his bachelor lifestyle when he married another SUR worker, Brittany Cartwright, in 2019.

Jax and Brittany are no longer together after the latter filed for divorce in August 2024. Their divorce is expected to be a major storyline in their Bravo series The Valley. And, it doesn’t look like Jax is dating anyone at the moment as he most recently opened up about his sobriety journey. Jax Taylor Cheated On Stassi Schroeder In Las Vegas

Dating Timeline: 2010-2013

When Vanderpump Rules Season 1 premiered in 2013, SUR employees Stassi Schroeder and Jax Taylor were already a couple. “Me and Jax just kind of bring everyone together,” Stassi shared. “The boys are drawn to him, and the girls are drawn to me, so we just kind of lead the pack.”

Stassi and Jax had been together for two years before the series premiered. However, their relationship turned rocky when rumors spread that he had cheated on her when he went to Las Vegas. At the end of Season 1, he admitted that he was unfaithful. Although Jax and Stassi split, they would rekindle their romance briefly in Season 2.

Laura-Leigh Was Jax’s Rebound

Timeline: 2012

When Jax broke things off with Stassi in Season 1, he quickly struck up a romantic relationship with SUR employee Laura-Leigh. The two were known for having sex all over West Hollywood, but that’s all it was, as Jax did not want to define the relationship.

Laura-Leigh was reportedly a “distraction” as he wanted to mend his relationship with Stassi. He ultimately ended his brief romance with the up-and-coming actress, but not without getting a mouthful from Laura-Leigh.

Jax Hooked Up With Kristen Doute While She Was Dating Tom Sandoval

Season 2 Of Vanderpump Rules

In Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules, there was yet another rumor surrounding Jax. This time, Stassi’s best friend, Kristen Doute, was at the center of it as it was believed she had hooked up with Jax while dating Tom Sandoval. Stassi was not in a relationship with Jax when the alleged hook-up on Tom’s couch occurred. Jax confirmed he had slept with Kristen, who had adamantly denied it.

While the cast was all together, Stassi confronted Kristen, who continued to deny the hook-up. After calling her friend a” dirty f***ing w***e,” Stassi slapped Kristen in the face. In the Season 2 finale, Kristen admitted to Stassi that she had hooked up with Jax.

Jax Dated Tiffany Matthews And Carmen Dickman At The Same Time

Dating Timeline: Late 2013-2014

In Season 3, Jax was dating two women — Tiffany Matthews was a woman he met in Las Vegas and began a long-distance relationship with. Meanwhile, after a week of dating Tiffany, he met Carmen Dickman while she was dining at SUR.

According to Carmen’s recollection of meeting Jax, she told Radar Online in February 2014, “After I finished dinner, I went to the bar for a drink. Jax and I ended up talking for about four hours, closing down SUR. The rest is history. He definitely has a bad boy side.” However, the pair split the following month, and it was captured on VPR cameras, with Carmen giving Jax a huge reality check:

“I’m sorry, am I missing something? You told me you wanted me to have your babies a day ago. You tattooed my freaking name on your arm,” she said. “After this, I don’t want to see you again. I don’t like you. You’re 35 years old. Stop with the partying. Get focused. Get on track. Get your life together. I want a man that’s motivated to do good things, and motivated to make me a priority in his life.”

Tiffany had also ended things with Jax during a phone call when the latter admitted that there were women in his hotel room after a guy’s trip to San Diego.

Vail Bloom And Jax Had A Flirty Relationship

Season 3 also saw Jax making a connection with SUR employee Vail Bloom. However, the two were never in a relationship and carried on flirtatious banter until she departed that same season.

In a later episode of Season 3, Vail made the wise decision not to sleep with Jax. “Like, there’s no way, no how, because he sounds shady and messy in his life. That just sounds too complicated for anything I would ever want to get into,” she shared.

Brittany Cartwright Joins VPR In Season 4

Married: 2019-2024

Jax met Brittany Cartwright in 2015, while she was working as a Hooters waitress in Las Vegas. He was head-over-heels for the Southern belle, and she joined the VPR cast as his girlfriend in Season 4.

Brittany quickly bonded with all the cast of the Bravo show and even began working at SUR. When she moved her life from Kentucky to Los Angeles for Jax, their relationship went downhill when she learned he had cheated on her with co-worker, Faith Stowers. In Season 6, Brittany famously tells Jax to “Rot in hell” and the two break up.

Brittany and Jax reconciled after the death of his father in late 2017. “I see him every single day making efforts, and he’s completely changed the way he treats me, the way he talks to me, the way he listens to me,” Brittany told Us Weekly. The two got engaged in June 2018, and married the following year.

In 2021, the couple welcomed a son named Cruz Cauchi, and after having been fired from VPR after Season 8, they starred in their own reality TV spinoff, The Valley. However, before the first season premiere, Brittany shared in an episode of their joint podcast, When Reality Hits, in February 2024, that she and Jax were separated.

In July 2024, Jax went into a mental health facility, and the following month, Brittany filed for divorce. In their divorce proceedings, Jax agreed to give Brittany full custody of their son.

The two are set to star in Season 2 of The Valley, which will likely showcase Brittany making the decision to divorce Jax and the aftermath of their separation.
