Tom Parker’s widow has announced she is expecting a baby with her new boyfriend, almost three years after The Wanted singer’s death.
Kelsey, who shares two children with her late husband, confessed her pregnancy is “amazing” but “bittersweet”.
The 34-year-old said: “Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans. So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet.
“I’ve felt every emotion under the sun. I’m still getting my head around it but I’m so excited. I just want everyone to be as happy as I am.”
Kelsey’s new boyfriend, Will, added to The Mirror: “I’m over the moon. This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. I couldn’t be happier and I know Kelsey is going to be an amazing mum, as she already is.”
Kelsey had a loving relationship with pop star Tom for nine years before they married in 2018. His death in March 2022 left an irreplaceable gap in their lives.
Kelsey admitted she had concerns about making her new relationship with Will public but received “incredible” support.
She told The Sun earlier this month: “Will is not really bothered about getting married or anything like that. But he hasn’t got children so he would like kids. I do think that could be on the cards for us.
“Tom and I spoke about having more kids because I wanted four. When he was first diagnosed, I wanted him to go and freeze his sperm, but he wouldn’t. I really wanted him to because I really believed he was going to get better.”
Tom’s heart-wrenching battle with stage 4 glioblastoma, diagnosed in October 2020, sadly ended in March 2022 when he was just 33.
Kelsey announced on Instagram at the time: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.”
She expressed their profound grief, describing Tom as the “centre of our world” and admitting they are at a loss to envision a future without his “can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence”.
In a candid revelation about her new relationship in October 2024, Kelsey admitted she expected backlash, saying there’s “no right time to do anything”, and that one must “just go with your heart and that’s it”.
By December, Kelsey credited her new partner Will for bringing “back to life” after the tumultuous times, feeling “grateful” for experiencing her first Christmas with newfound love “back in my life”.
