Tiger Woods has been released on bail following a serious rollover crash in Florida and a subsequent arrest for driving under the influence.

The 50-year-old golf legend, who has won the Masters five times, was seen in the front passenger seat of a Cadillac SUV as he discreetly exited the Martin County jail just before midnight on Friday. This stealthy departure through a back door was an effort to evade the waiting media.

Woods had been in police custody for roughly eight hours after his Land Rover SUV was involved in a rollover accident in Jupiter Island, Florida, on Friday afternoon, according to statements made by authorities during an earlier press briefing.

“Woods exhibited signs of impairment and declined to undergo a urinalysis test, resulting in charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to comply with a legal test,” Sheriff John Budensiek explained at a press conference. He noted that a breathalyzer test did not detect any alcohol.

The incident occurred as Woods attempted to maneuver past a pressure cleaner truck, reportedly clipping the rear of the truck’s trailer and causing his own vehicle to overturn.

Photographs from the scene showed the Land Rover on its side, and Woods himself in a blue shirt and sunglasses, making a phone call following the incident.

The rollover happened just after 2 p.m. near Beach Road.

A source told Page Six on Friday that neither Vanessa Trump — whom the athlete is romantically involved with — nor Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, were with him at the time of the crash.

Police later confirmed he was alone at the time of the accident

A rep for the champion golfer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on the crash.

After more than a year away from the sport, Woods returned to golf earlier this week to compete in the TGL Finals.

In February 2021, Woods rolled another SUV while driving in Palos Verdes, Los Angeles.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at the time that Woods was “not able to get up,” though he was “able to communicate” following the near-deadly crash, while Deputy Carlos Gonzalez noted that he was “very fortunate” to be “able to come out of this alive.”

His injuries from the California rollover necessitated multiple back, knee, and leg surgeries over the past several years.

He also ruptured his Achilles tendon last March, and seven months later in October, had a disc replacement.

Woods’ arrest on Friday wasn’t his only Florida incident — he was also arrested in May 2017 in Jupiter on suspicion of driving under the influence.

An incident report alleged the athlete “had to be woken up” after falling asleep at the wheel, and he was later released on his own recognizance.

“I understand the severity of what I did and take full responsibility for my actions,” he said in part in a statement at the time.

“I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”

In 2009 near his Florida home, Woods memorably crashed his Cadillac SUV into a neighbor’s tree amid a cheating scandal that ended his marriage to model Elin Nordegren — with whom he shares his two children.
