Tom Brady wants to be 'the best dad' after Gisele Bündchen divorce

Tom Brady is making his children a priority following his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

“I just wanna be the best dad I could be,” the NFL star, 45, said on Monday’s episode of the “Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray” Sirius XM podcast.

Brady also reminisced on the role his own parents played in his career, saying, “You can do it, son,” which enabled his success.

“I just want to be that for my kids,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion added.

Brady has a 15-year-old son, John, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan and shares two kids — Benjamin, 12, and Vivian 9 — with Bündchen.

Sources previously said that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and supermodel’s 13-year marriage was coming to an end over his decision to “un-retire” – and because his focus was on his career and not his kids.

However, since news of the marital strife broke, Brady has been seen spending more quality time with all of his children.

In September, Jack, Benjamin and Vivian were all seen attending their father’s first home game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Florida.

Then, in October, the doting dad took his kids trick-or-treating for Halloween and volunteering at a local food bank.

In an Oct. 31 episode of his podcast, Brady revealed how he was managing balancing parenthood and a demanding profession.

“Obviously, the good news is it’s a very amicable situation and I’m really focused on two things, taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games,” he said.

“So, that’s what professionals do. You focus at work when it’s time to work, and then when you come home you focus on the priorities that are at home.”

The football star concluded, “All you can do is the best you could do. That’s what I’ll just continue to do as long as I’m working and as long as I’m being a dad.”

According to court documents previously obtained by Page Six, both Brady and Bündchen, 42, were required to take a family stabilization course that would help them in navigating the impacts that divorce can have on parents and children.

The former Victoria’s Secret model wrote on her Instagram Story as she confirmed the former couple’s split, “My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart.”
