Tom Brady shared a hopeful message about love just one day after it was revealed that his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, welcomed her first child with boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

“I really think the secret to being loved is to love,” a post shared by Tom, 47, via his Instagram Stories on Thursday, February 6, read. “And the secret to being interesting is to be interested. And the secret to have others find beauty in you is to find beauty in others. And the secret to having a friend is being a friend.”

In addition to sharing the quote, Tom completed the post with three red heart emojis and wrote, “Love this.”

While the former New England Patriots quarterback did not reveal what inspired him to share the quote, the post was uploaded shortly after it was reported that Gisele, 44, welcomed baby No. 3.

TMZ reported on Wednesday, February 5, that the supermodel “recently” gave birth, though the exact birth date was unclear. One day later, a source told People that Gisele gave birth to a son and she gave him the middle name “River.” However, she has not yet publicly shared any details about her child.

In addition to her latest bundle of joy with Joaquim, 37, Gisele also shares son Benjamin Rein Brady and daughter Vivian Lake Brady with Tom. The former couple wed in 2009, and they divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

While both Tom and Gisele have been relatively private about their split, an insider previously told In Touch that the retired athlete initially had a tough time accepting the end of their marriage. “Tom had a bumpy start navigating the single life after his divorce, but he’s doing great now,” the source exclusively shared in February 2024. “The past year has made a world of difference. He’s embraced coparenting, dating here and there, and he’s even made peace with Gisele.”

The insider also added insight into the real reason they decided to part ways. “He and Gisele made it sound like they grew apart and that their split was very amicable, but their marriage near the end was so bad it was scary,” the source claimed, adding that his 2022 retirement from the NFL only caused harm to their relationship. “They were fighting all the time.”

Shortly after news circulated that Gisele welcomed baby No. 3, a source told Page Six that Tom was reportedly “happy” for his ex and “wishes her nothing but the best.”

Meanwhile, an additional insider told the outlet that Tom reached out to Gisele to “congratulate her.”

In Touch previously confirmed Gisele’s pregnancy in October 2024 after TMZ reported the news, revealing she was “five or six months along” at the time of the announcement.

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” a source close to the couple told People the same day that the reports emerged.
