Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s love story has never looked better.

As the couple marked 37 years of marriage this week, Hanks, 68, decided to celebrate by sharing a shirtless selfie with his wife.

“37 years married. Today!” he wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, April 30. “Love you, Mrs. -Mr. THanks.”

In the shot, Hanks showed off his abs as he wrapped his arm around Wilson, 68, at an undisclosed tropical location.

“I’m that actor in some of the movies you liked and some you didn’t,” Hanks’ Instagram bio stated. “Sometimes I’m in pretty good shape. Hey, you gotta live, you know?”

As for Wilson, she decided to mark the milestone with a photo from a colder location. While wearing a beanie and cozy coat, the singer snapped a selfie with her husband before writing a message.

“Happy 37th Anniversary my love!!!” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday. “🩵❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍💖🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍🩷.”

After more than three decades of marriage, Wilson and Hanks couldn’t help but get support from their followers and famous friends like Demi Moore, Octavia Spencer and Michelle Pfeiffer.

“Honestly the best human beings ever. Love you ❤️,” country singer Annie Bosko wrote in the comments section. Maria Shriver added, “Happy happy my loves you both are awesome love you.”

In April 1988, Hanks and Wilson tied the knot in Los Angeles. One year later, the Toy Story star won the Golden Globe for Best Actor thanks to his role in Big.

During his acceptance speech, Hanks — who shares Chet, 34, and Truman, 29, with Wilson and Colin, 47, and Elizabeth, 42, with ex-wife Samantha Bryant — gave thanks to his wife for saying “I do.”

“I married a Greek babe,” he shared with the audience. “She was born right here in California, right here in Hollywood, but her folks are great, she’s marvelous. Rita Wilson — thank you, babe, for marrying me. You made my year already.”

As for what keeps their marriage strong, Wilson shared her secrets in a candid interview with Us Weekly.

“We got married, we committed to each other, we love each other and we work hard at our relationship,” the singer told Us in 2019. “Not only do we love each other, we really like each other, and we like being together, and we support each other and we keep the communication channels open. That’s always important.”

When Wilson was asked what aspect of Hanks initially impressed her, she shared it was his storytelling skills.

“We just got along instantly,” she said on an April 2020 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. “Anybody who can tell a good story, I’m down with that.”
