James Handy, known for his role in “Jumanji,” was last seen publicly in 2017, nearly ten years before he tragically lost his life in a stabbing incident involving his girlfriend’s son.
Captured in a photograph dated September 24, 2017, Handy was seated alongside the cast of the mockumentary comedy “Senior Entourage,” released in 2021. The ensemble included notable figures such as David Lockhart, Ed Asner, Mark Rydell, and Helen Reddy, as well as the film’s director, Brian Connors.
This gathering took place at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, California, during an early-stage concept event for the film, which eventually premiered four years later.
For his final public appearance, Handy was dressed in a stylish button-down shirt paired with black pants and matching shoes.
In “Senior Entourage,” the late actor portrayed the character Father MacGuffin, in a film often described as the “Seinfeld” for the senior crowd.
Connors directed the independent film, which did not have a wide theatrical release.
