Travel influencer Kevin Droniak has taken to social media to address speculation among his followers about the authenticity of his trips.
“I never imagined I’d have to create a video like this, but when my honesty is questioned, I need to respond,” Droniak explained on his Instagram page this past Wednesday, January 7. “There’s a rumor circulating that I’m faking my quick getaways, and honestly, I’m flattered. It means you believe I’m adventurous enough to travel for more than a single day. But actually, I’m currently in Japan just for today, and I have the evidence to prove it.”
With a following exceeding 313,000 on Instagram, Droniak proceeded to display his boarding pass and passport stamps as proof of his recent journeys.
“There’s more where that came from. So if you’ve got any more doubts, just ask, and I’ll clear them up,” Droniak stated before pausing the video to catch his flight. “I have to admit, I don’t fault anyone for thinking this might be staged because, really, who travels to Japan just for a day? But clearly, I’m not thinking conventionally, and I’m thrilled about it because this mindset is incredibly enjoyable.”
Droniak tagged the video with the caption, “I’m flattered, but here are some receipts. 😉.”
In the comments section of his video, Droniak’s followers shared a message of support.
“You really didn’t need to prove 😍 we trust you!” one user wrote, while another added, “Keep doing your thing!!!! We enjoy all of your daily adventures. 🌎✈️🌎✈️.” A third wrote, “Absolutely love your state of mind! I’m always debating on booking a trip from NJ to Orlando for the day to go to Disney and always think of you. I always think, ‘If Kevin can do it, so can I.’”
Droniak’s video comes weeks after he shared a recap of the farthest day trips he took in 2025, which included traveling to Tokyo for 27 hours to spend 18 hours “on the ground.” Droniak also noted that he flew on the plane for 26 hours to spend 13 hours in Nairobi, Kenya, with similar trips to Cairo, Egypt, Athens, Greece, and more destinations.
“No one else in their right mind does this, but I travel the world ONE day at a time,” he captioned the December 2025 Instagram post. “As in: I fly out of NYC, land in a new country, explore, and then fly back home at night. I did this almost every week in 2025 and here are my farthest day trips. This year has been so surreal and so many tears of joy were shed. Thank you for following along, there will be many more chaotic trips in the new year. ✈️.”
In a separate video filmed in the Dominican Republic, Droniak admitted that what he does is “not normal.”
“This is very confusing for the average person and let me tell you why [I do this],” he said in the December 2025 Instagram video. “The first being, I’m addicted to it, OK? I love sleeping in my own bed which is another reason. I also save all of the money I was going to spend at a hotel, so it makes travel a lot more affordable. I’m not spending really any money today besides the flight, and it is just a really good feeling saving money for me. Call me cheap.”
Droniak explained that he enjoys not having to pack for his vacations, while he also tends to travel for shorter periods of time to spend time with his grandmother at home.
“I have not experienced anything in life that feels more like a dream while you’re awake,” he concluded. “I’m just looking at this view right now and it’s hard for my mind to comprehend that I woke up in my New York City apartment today and I’m going to bed in my New York City apartment today. It brings me so much joy going on these day trips and sharing it with you.”
