90 Day Fiancé stars Robert Springs and Anny Francisco opened up about the tragic death of their second child, son Adriel Hassan, during an April 8, 2025, episode of the series.

The family matriarch shared the struggle they experienced when Adriel battled Danon disease and how they coped with the devastating loss of their 7-month-old after his diagnosis.

What Is Danon Disease?

Danon disease is a “rare genetic disorder that can affect you in many ways. It most often damages your heart, muscles, retina and brain, though symptoms vary from person to person,” according to Cleveland Clinic.

The disease is known to affect more males than females.

Fans Watched Anny’s Pregnancy Journey With Son Adriel on ’90 Day Fiance’

The couple, who share three children together, announced they were expecting Adriel in April 2021. Their youngest kid, a son, was born in November 2024.

Robert and Anny took fans along Adriel’s gender reveal during an episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk. The couple cut into a cake and blasted poppers, both of which exposed blue cake and confetti.

Anny gave birth to Adriel on September 7, 2021.

“Much love and respect to my wife who’s the true warrior,” the family matriarch wrote via Instagram Stories at the time. “Gave birth to our baby boy, 9 lbs 3 oz 21 inches long.”

In addition to their late son, Robert and Anny welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Brenda Aaliyah in July 2020. The couple welcomed baby no. 3, Eliel S. Super, in November 2024 after the painful loss of Adriel.

Robert is also the father to five other children with four other women.

90 Day Finace’s Anny Hints at Son Adriel’s Cause of Death

On April 21, 2022, Anny mustered up the strength to inform fans that Adriel died at 7 months old.

“Today is one of the worst days of my life, my son Adriel Springs died,” Anny wrote via Instagram at the time, hinting that Adriel suffered from a heart condition. “I am devastated and [so is] my family … life is so hard and difficult. I never thought I would lose my son. He was a fighter … his heart couldn’t take it … my heart is broken it’s a big pain … so difficult.”

Two days later, Anny shared photos of Adriel in a hospital bed while attached to tubes.

“This was the last pictures an hour before my sons surgery, life is unfair I just wanted my kids,” she wrote, confirming that Adriel passed shortly after undergoing a procedure.

Anny Confirms Adriel’s Danon Disease Diagnosis on ‘90 Day Fiance’

Robert and Anny honored Adriel during the April 8, 2025, episode of 90 Day Fiancé. Anny took viewers into their guest bedroom, which is still filled with her late son’s belongings.

“I get pregnant with Aaliyah, and 6 months after, I get pregnant with my son Adriel,” Anny said in a confessional interview alongside her husband. “Adriel was a big baby. He was like a prince with beautiful cheeks. He was very close to me. Sometimes he’s sleeping in my chest the whole night.”

Robert started to cry when Anny explained that one month later, doctors told her that Adriel had a “sick heart.”

The frame cut to a clip of Anny going through Adriel’s old toys and she started crying, admitting that it’s difficult for her to go in that room.

“He have a sickness called Danon Disease. It’s a genetic disease,” Anny said. “I was in the hospital for five months with my son. We goes through a lot.”
