Last week, The Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested on fraud charges. Authorities claim the couple orchestrated a fake robbery at their residence to scam their insurance company out of several hundred thousand dollars. Police reports indicate that Wendy had posted a photo of her anniversary ring, which had been reported stolen, and officers discovered several other allegedly missing items within their home.
During an episode of Two Ts in a Pod, Tamra shared, “Wendy’s neighbor reached out to me, saying that everyone in the community received notices about a burglary at Wendy and Eddie’s place. Right away, the neighborhood believed it was a case of insurance fraud.”
Continuing her account, Tamra said, “The neighbor mentioned that everyone was skeptical, questioning how this could happen. Perhaps the area isn’t prone to burglaries, or maybe it’s because Wendy is on TV, which adds another layer of complexity. Regardless, the consensus among them was that something just didn’t add up.”
“That’s what she said,” Tamra added. “All [the neighbors] were saying, no way, no way, no way, because — I don’t know if the area where they’re at is not known for burglaries, but she is on TV, so that’s a different level — but they all thought something was kind of shady about it.”
Co-host Teddi Mellencamp pointed out that Wendy’s co-star Ashley Darby claimed “this ain’t news to us, it’s news to y’all.”
“There’s a lot of people that have come out. Somebody else that worked with [Wendy] came out and did a TikTok or something saying she was horrible to work with,” said Tamra. “This is before she got on Housewives. I mean, it’s not good. Mia came out and made a statement as well. What’s going on over there on Potomac?”
“I’ve always thought to myself, you know, somebody that’s always bragging about money and bragging about their degrees and stuff like that — it’s always like a little bit of a red flag for me,” she added. “I like Wendy, I met Wendy … but it’s not looking good. Why would you wear the ring you reported stolen?”
