Can Halloween truly be complete without the spectacle of “Heidiween”?
Heidi Klum, the reigning queen of Halloween costumes, once again dazzled attendees at her highly anticipated 24th annual Halloween Party. This year, the event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City on Friday night. Known for its extravagant displays, the party drew celebrities who showcased some of the most imaginative ensembles of the haunting season.
Klum herself stole the spotlight as she graced the red carpet dressed as Medusa, the legendary figure from Greek mythology. Accompanying her was her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who complemented her look with an impressive concrete soldier costume.
The supermodel’s meticulously crafted outfit featured hand-painted green scales extending into a rattlesnake’s tail, while animatronic snakes writhed among her hair, bringing Medusa to life in a modern twist.
In an interview with Vogue, Klum shared her inspiration: “I wanted to explore the classic monsters of history and reimagine one in a modern way.” Her innovative take on Medusa certainly achieved that goal, cementing her status as Halloween’s ultimate costume icon.
“Medusa stood out to me as truly iconic—mysterious yet ferocious. The legend of her turning humans to stone has fascinated audiences for centuries. In museums, countless paintings and sculptures depict her haunting power, a testament to how terrifying and compelling she remains.”
Klum revealed that the entire process of hand-painting her elaborate costume took nine hours.
She began teasing this year’s costume at the start of October, sharing various angles of an eerie mask on Instagram and captioning the post, “This is just the beginning 👀👻💀🎃 @prorenfx #HeidiHalloween.”
Klum later shared snaps of a prosthetic backside, writing, “Feeling cheeky 🍑😜 @prorenfx #HeidiHalloween.”
Having told Jimmy Fallon that this year’s look was going to “be extra ugly” and “super scary,” fans were left with a month’s worth of guesswork.
Klum also opted for full-body prosthetics last year, dressing as the female version of E.T. alongside husband Tom Kaulitz, who morphed into a male version of the iconic alien.
In prior years, Klum has transformed into a wriggling worm (2022), a bodacious Jessica Rabbit (2015), Fiona from “Shrek” (2018) and more.
With Heidiween being a can’t-miss event every October, the stars were out in their finest costumes to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with Klum this year.
Jay Manuel, Maye Musk and Jonathan Cheban were among the guests at this year’s bash.
