Vanessa Hudgens has a “gift.” A gift that goes beyond her ability to be a triple threat and earn a huge payday for it. Hudgens can speak to those who have gone on to the afterlife. And after stepping out at a premiere since admitting to being able to connect with those who have passed with tools of the trade, fans have condemned Hudgens for her use of “Satan cards.”
On Thursday, Hudgens walked the red carpet for the premiere of her latest film, Downtown Owl. The High School Musical alum dressed head to toe in black with a long-sleeved cut-out cashmere dress that showed off her taut abs. To complete the look, strappy heels were worn along with two buns on the top of her head. A very different look than what Hudgens wears to speak to spirits.
Earlier this week, Hudgens shared a series of Instagram photos showing what she did on a typical day. One of those photos included crystals and tarot cards. While Hudgens has long spoken about her desire to connect with those beyond the grave, some may now just have realized just how serious she was until now. And because of this, several fans have asked the Spring Breakers star to not “invite evil spirits in [her] life” or have claimed that they are going to “unfollow” her for her use of “Satan cards.”
Vanessa Hudgens Is A “Student Of Witchcraft”
Hudgens has spoken in the past about her desire to connect with the dead. Fans got a better look at this with the release of Hudgens’ project, Dead Hot in which The Princess Switch star traveled to Salem, MA with GG Magree to speak to spirits. A project that is “extremely personal” to Hudgens that allowed her to share something she is “very passionate about.”
“During 2020, I think we were all looking for ways to better ourselves, to grow and come out of it as better people,” Hudgens explained. “I really started to lean into rituals and manifestation. I was actually leading little coven meetings over Zoom with a few other witchy friends.”

Given that Hudgens and Magree are “students of witchcraft,” they claim they still have a lot to learn. But that has not stopped Hudgens from being able to directly connect with those from the other side.

While Hudgens can stun on the red carpet, she also stunned fans when she admitted that she has the ability to speak with ghosts. A “gift” that Hudgens has had since she was young.
“I remember getting ready for school when I was 8 years old, and there was … You know those ducks [toys] that you pull [the string]? There was one of those on the dining room table, and I started walking, and it just started going alongside me,” Hudgens explained.
The Asking For It star continued, “I kind of shut it down for a while because it’s scary. The unknown is scary. But recently I was like, ‘No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I’m going to lean into it.'”
Though there are detractors who do not like the spiritual side of Hudgens, many fans are supportive. And those fans cannot wait to hear where Hudgens spiritual journey takes her next.
